Stachowski and A Thompsons leader misses fine deadline-again
Bill Stachowski’s and A Thompson new Senate boss missed another deadline for paying dozens of campaign fines.
Bronx Sen. Pedro Espada, whom Aubertine backed to become the chamber’s Majority Leader, owes $61,000 in fines and nearly two dozen disclosure reports.
Stachowski and A. Thompson, who provided a key vote to elevate Espada to his new role, has invited his boss to Buffalo to help raise campaign cash for his reelection? Can’t wait to find out where this is going to be…. See they brouyght Espada back and promoted him. That’s what happens to crooks in Albany.

NY Senate Standoff Hits Breakthrough Or Does It?

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

Is there a deal? Hardly. Why has the governor called a Press Conference for tonight at 5:01, wants not only air time but TV time too. This is when the locals start their local headline news. But his staff also told the media outlets not to reveal this until it is confirmed there is a deal.

This is what I am hearing from my sources. There has been a deal struck in concept. The senators will share leadership by rotating leaders. But the democrats are not all on board with this deal. If there is no real deal struck by Thursday I have been told that the four Hispanics and as many as two more dems will jump ship and join what is being called the coalition.

This is the same group that was undecided in January as to which side they were going to join with. There are many issues that the Hispanics disagree with the Democrats on. They joined the Democrat caucus with the help of Golisano. They do not want gay marriage to be an issue in the senate, they wanted the procedural reforms put in place that Golisano was pushing for. The same ones that were passed when the Republicans took over and had the 32 votes to do so, the Monseratte jumped back with the Dem caucus.

Funny how when Monseratte jumped the Democrats were all over him and the accusations that he is facing. Once he joined back with them all these accusations disappeared. See it is all about selective enforcement. Espada has issues, campaign finance issues. Who doesn’t? All of them have campaign finance issues but nothing is ever done about them until they piss off the leadership. Selective enforcement is in full force with any and all campaign and donation issues. They are used to fight the opposition and are never used until something happens. It is really sickening.

So will we have a deal today? Probably not and just like the Democrat leaders say.

Thursday is the deadline for a deal, but Democratic leaders John Sampson and Malcolm Smith, say there is no hard deadline for agreement

We will see as we watch what happens by the end of Thursday. Pressure is on.
