“Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual — or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.” –Samuel Adams

Friday, November 6th, 2009New York Senate majority will snub Gov. Paterson
Friday, November 6th, 2009I cannot fathom this height of ignorance from the Senate Democrats. The state is looking at over a 10 Billion deficit and the majority will not attend? What BS is this?
at the same time many legislators will be in Puerto Rico attending an annual conference of lawmakers.
What the hell is this all about? A trade mission to in Puerto Rico? I suppose we are paying for all this too… How many millions will be thrown out the window as they are on a joy ride to another part of the world.

Thruway fires toll collector for sending e-mail threats
Friday, November 6th, 2009I like the only comment left at the Buffalo News website.
So…everybody knew this was wrong, everybody knew he would (should) get fired for all that he did, and it only took these people 6 months to get it done.
Now we are supposed to say “good job”???

Relationship of Senator Thompson and Donna Luh ?
Thursday, November 5th, 2009Can someone explain to me why Donna Luhs phone number is at the bottom of Senator Antionne Thompson’s fundraiser tickets? Donna Luh serves on the Board of the Thruway Authority, she replaced Jeff Williams. Jeff was our only ally but was quickly replaced by Governor Paterson when this toll fight became very real and a threat to the cash cow the Grand Island Tolls are.
Isn’t this a huge conflict of interest?

Toll Taker David Zelonis has been fired
Thursday, November 5th, 2009I was just informed by the Buffalo News that Toll Taker David Zelonis has been fired from his job.
Now I can understand why he was looking at me the way he was last night in court. Although the Order of Protection is still in force, I worry what this guy is capable of. Next court date is December 2nd. This was supposed to be all over last night in court.
The Brushfires of Freedom
Thursday, November 5th, 2009“It does not take a majority to prevail … but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.” –Samuel Adams
Zelonis walks again but why?
Wednesday, November 4th, 2009Interesting turn of events tonight at the Grand Island Court.
I talked to the DA and he informed me that Zelonis was going to plead guilty to charges of Harassment instead of aggravated harassment, this would be a “Violation” instead of a misdemeanor. In other words a slap on the wrist for harassing me through emails for 23 months. I agreed just to get this over with, this now is going on 3 years with out any kind of conclusion and tonight I hoped it would be concluded.

Hardwick trounces Iannello -Great Night for Erie GOP
Wednesday, November 4th, 2009That headline, Hardwick Trounces Iannello just makes my heart skip a beat. Iannello was finally exposed for what she is and the voters saw right through it and Hardwick handily defeated her. Congratulations to Kevin, he deserves the win.
Other county victories. Dixon over Reynolds, Fudoli over the ghost of Kathy Konst and Terranova, Sheriff Tim Howard, Steve Walters in Hamburg. But close races are still out there My friends Pat Keem and Shelly Schratz and behind by around 100 votes and could still eek out a victory with the absentee ballots. Huge win for my friends Barry Weinstein and Jay Anderson in Amherst.
We helped out in every race above and a few losses but Wow, what a great night for the taxpayers in Erie County.

Grand Island – Candidate Addresses Political Signs
Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009This guy is a Republican that I could never vote for. His signs are obnoxious. He has life size cutouts of himself standing there waving, signs all over the place including right of ways and on corners owned by the state, county and town. Signs stacked one on top of another like a pyramid. He is your typical hypocrite, do as I say, not as I do.
All he is is a puppet for the Grand Island Republican committee and I hope he loses.
