Paladino to primary, run a third party line

We are looking for names for this line. Some of the feedback we are getting is great. We are not doing this alone, I refuse to make a unilateral decision. Carl is our candidate, we at TEANewYork.com drafted him, we created this website over a year ago and Carl has been one of our leaders since day one, Carl has been a TEA Party guy since before it became the fashionable thing to do. He has spoken with me at over a 1/2 dozen events. He is one of us. Suggestions so far are..
My personal favorite TEA NEW YORK or TEA NY because Carl is TEANewYork.

Buffalo developer and Tea Party-backed gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino told reporters this morning he plans to spend $500,000 on a petition drive to gain a spot on the September ballot for the Republican line.

Paladino also said he plans to run on a third-party line, a ballot line whose name is yet to be determined.

“Today the real fight for reform begins,” Paladino said. “I’m the only Republican who should be the next governor of New York.”

Former Rep. Rick Lazio was named the party’s preferred candidate Wednesday, garnering nearly 60 percent of the delegate vote at the state party’s convention. Paladino claimed today Republican leaders attempted to keep him from speaking on Wednesday. But he went ahead anyway with a high-spirited convention speech nominating himself.

Paladino said that while Lazio is an honest man, he’s too similar to Cuomo. Paladino played a 2004 radio interview with Lazio and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo in which the two men complimented each other for their work in Washington while Lazio was a congressman and Cuomo was the Housing and Urban Development secretary to President Clinton.

Paladino needs a minimum of 15,000 signatures of registered Republicans to gain a spot on the primary ballot. In addition, he needs another 15,000 to receive a spot on an independent line.

Tea NY is great. Paladino’s got my vote all the way!

How about the Grand TEA Party? Rather than the Grand Old Party, which is taken…

Voice of Reason Party? Voice of Reason TEA Party?

    Constitutionalist Party?

Like Nancie, Carl has my vote no matter what line he puts up. We can’t afford another tax and spend liberal in he NY Governors office. That includes Lazio.
