While Albany is burning Antoine Thompson and Donna Luh are out shaking down donors.
Tonight while negotiations were hot and heavy in Albany Senator Antoine Thompson decided to say enough with Albany and headed to Buffalo to attend the fundraiser Donna Luh worked on putting together for him.
In a time that New York state is suffering with another self inflicted fiscal crisis, Senator Thompson cuts out of any and all talks to raise more money for his reelection campaign. This raises so many questions and thoughts of not only coercion with Donna Luh to keep the Grand Island tolls in place and forget all about the legislation to remove them. This bring up issues of character, ethics, and dereliction of duty.
This man was elected to do a job, to represent the people of the 60th district and he has fallen far short of doing that in so many ways.
How did he get here from Albany today? Did he fly? Who paid for the flight here and back? Did we? How much money has Donna Luh raised for the Senator? Why was Donna Luh at the fundraiser again tonight when she clearly stated to Bob McCarthy of the Buffalo News that she would no longer participate? That was an outright lie.
Donna Luh is a Board member for the New York State Thruway Authority. I have already filed one complaint with the New York State commission on Ethics, and will call there again tomorrow. With her raising campaign funds for Senator Thompson is a sure way for her to insure that the legislation waiting for action in Albany to remove the tolls will go no where. It is currently stalled in Albany with no movement forward due to Senator Antoine Thompsons inaction. Yet he does not hesitate to raise our taxes, sent $550 Million from the Power Authority to NY City and raise our utility taxes 2% and NY City’s only 1%…
This activity can no longer go on, someone has got to take action against this Senator and his cohort Donna Luh.
