Taxpayers Give Senator Thompson an Earful

They give him an earful and it wasn’t me…. I was there and simply backed off as others said all that needed to be said. I am just happy others are waking up and then stepping up to confront our politicians. No longer will they simply have events without people being there confronting them. I am just the conduit in letting people know where they are. Thank to people like these for joining in the cause. Watch the video clip below.

New York State taxpayers are no longer staying silent. State Senator Antoine Thompson (D) found that out firsthand on Grand Island. Upset taxpayers questioned why he would take a paycheck during the budget chaos last month.

A Grand Island husband and wife and their children confronted the Senator in a parking lot. They voiced displeasure with the Senator giving a $40,000 check to Grand Island Schools.

The couple also expressed disappointment that State lawmakers never returned their phone calls and had the audacity to accept a paycheck when many polls indicated that taxpayers did not think members of the State Legislature deserved to be paid.

On top of all of that there was utter disgust with the new fees residents of New York will soon have to pay.

    1. Why are you including a video that launches automatically? It’s obnoxious.

    2. By Budget crisis, I assume you mean the whole coup thing. You know, the one that George Maziarz helped plan.

    3. Did Maziarz accept his paycheck?

    4. People who complain about state aid to their own school district are idiots.

  2. Noelle says:

Colin: We were not complaining about state aid given to our OWN school district, the complaint made by myself (Noelle) was that money was given to a school district that was “well off,” instead of one that needed it more (Buffalo school districts). That was my personal point.

Far more to the point is that we are shelling out billions to bail out an irresponsible, unaccountable government — Antoine’s grandstanding “gift” was a paltry fraction of what Grand Islanders, for example, give to the school district and the state every year. After having spent $20,000 in taxes last year alone, Mike showed up to let Antoine know how a measly $40,000 adds insult to injury to taxpayers. For expressing his concern, he was escorted out by the police. That’s thanks. The story is at TeaNewYork.com.

The district is “well-off” because Grand Islanders (most of whom aren’t “well-off”) are paying through the nose!!

But they only have themselves to blame — they pass the school budget every year by not showing up to vote. It wouldn’t matter anyway, if it fails, the school district just waits a couple of months, then brings it back up for a vote when no one’s paying attention, or too busy working.

Buffalo Schools have a history of throwing money at it, thus making the problem worse. They can’t even make $28,000 per student work! Another $40,000 won’t make a difference.

    Guys and Gals.
Do you really feel like the elected officials represent you?
Forget about specific issues and take a step back, look at the big picture.
Unless you are a ranking member of either party, you are something to wiped off of the sole of their shoes.
They think we are stupid and as long as they can make catchy slogans that make us think they care we vote for them.
Well, maybe we are(were) stupid, but no longer.

They are raising everyones taxes through fee hikes.
Feds have raised the taxes on every married couple starting this year by
    re-installing the marriage penalty.

Now Obama will say he is cutting everyones taxes except the rich, and we all go OHHHH AHHHH.

In truth, he has cut the taxes of 2 single people living together but if you are married your tax is going up.

Now for the first time in a very long time, they are scared. The AFL-CIO, SEIU and ACRON will be coming to the rescue.

Protest against them too! They are pushing National Health Care because they don’t want to pay for the members anymore.

When I was a Police Officer, I didn’t care what the Association of Chief of Police said. They did not represent me.

As a Union Member I didn’t care what the Suits at the AFL-CIO said. they had no idea about what I felt or believed.

Let these elected representatives know that your vote put them there, and your vote is gonna take them out.

I think that the 40k that guy donated did matter at all. My dad alone last year had to pay around 20 to 40k so why the heck should it be so important that some dude donate this money? My dad got no special thank you ceromy/meeting about paying taxs. Can someone please answer my qeastions. I may only be 13 but I’m well informed.

    Oh and jul, you know that man who was escorted out of that meeting for expressing his concern, well that’s my dad (I was named after him, but people call me by my middle name matt) that’s why I know so much about this so I was compelled to add a comment. I’ll be checking this later to see if any of you can answer my qeastoin! :) -|-{

    What EVA :( ;(

  8. Jul says:

Hey Matt! Thanks for checking in! Your point was well made — that’s why I said “That’s thanks.” There is no gratitude to the taxpayer, who in New York, pays far more than just about anywhere else in the country. And the money just keeps feeding the hungry beast, yet the monster is never satisfied. Like the 600 pound fat man, who refuses to use a little self-control and reign in his appetite. Eventually (like govt), he’s virtually no good to anybody, his health deteriorates, and he dies.

    And that’s the good news!

  9. Obama says:

    Nudity
