Have all the Republicans thrown their spine out the window?

Have all the Republicans thrown their spine out the window?

The Republicans just don’t get it. Why are they losing seats? Why are WE losing representation? Simple, the Republicans have thrown away the Conservative platform, they run as Conservatives and when elected they govern like Democrats. The Right is staying home and allowing the left to drive us further down in hopes that the Republicans will come to their senses. It ain’t happenin.

The Republicans are making deals in DC as to who is going to be in charge and what do we get? Another RINO…. Promising leadership positions for a vote, pork, patronage etc…. They are giving away the store just like the Democrats and who is paying? We are.

When the time was right to help this economy and expose who was at fault, why this economic collapse is happening, the Republicans hid behind a rock and voted to spend almost a trillion dollars to “Bail Out” the economy? Over 80% of the people were and are against this. But, who cares? They don’t

The leadership at the RNC is licking their wounds trying to figure out what happened. This alone should tell you that we no longer have anyone with a clue. They want to get rid of the Reagan era and usher in a new big government agenda and duplicate the Democrats after all the Democrats are winning right? My God, I could go into a rant listing everything they they have done and continue to do wrong. First, have all the Republicans throw their spine out the window?

McCain? Where was he? He should have been the leader to stand up and say NO! Instead he paused his campaign and ran to DC to say, Yes, we need to do this and do it now? That was when he lost the election. The Republican candidates including McCain sat back and allowed the Democrats paint them with a broad brush, blamed them for everything and NO ONE fought back. When Palin attempted to they said she had gone rogue on them. Now it is her fault we lost. Please, if it wasn’t for her the O man would have swept every state.

So how do we get the Republican Party back? How do we steer this ship that uses to small of a rudder like the Titanic? Simple, we install a new larger rudder. We need to turn this shipwreck back on course to take back and save this country from the socialist direction we are headed.

The people in this country and the Republican Party do not realize the power they have, the real election is in the Primary. The Primary is where election are won and lost. We have been fed the fact that who ever the “Party” endorses is the candidate to vote for. So for years we have had to choose between the lesser of two evils. I personally am sick of it. I am tired of voting for evil no matter how lesser they are from the Democrat opponent. So do we have to sit back and allow the Republican leadership tell us who to vote for? NO, we need to tell them the type of candidate and leader we are looking for. The days of backroom deals and it’s your turn to run have got to end. A new era is beginning and “The People” are back in charge, the leadership from the President on down have thrown us overboard for political expediency, political correctness and their addiction to our money.

We need to organize at the grass roots level in every state starting with the states that have a RINO representing them in Congress. Now is the time to look for the cream of the crop in a candidate that can and will run in a Primary against them in 2010. Let them know we are coming and we are coming to take this Party and Country back and right this sinking ship.

The Republican leadership doesn’t have a clue, we do and we will take over from here. Thanks for your effort but you have failed us for the last time and it is time to change. Yes we can.

This is the page on the website I just started. How can you help? Get a hold of all the Conservative and Right leaning writers, blogs, forums and talk show hosts like Limbaugh, Hannity, Ingrahm, Boortz, Beck etc…. We need to get people like Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter talking about this. They all complain about the direction of the Republicans, well here is their chance to help effectively. We need a media contact list to get ahold of the people above and start building chapter in each state.

This is the beginning, just the beginning but if you are concerned as all of us are with the direction of this country, then jump in with your feedback, advice and be a part of this.

SCOTUS Process Obama Proof of Birth

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

If this didn’t have merit, then why has it moved up so much in the Supreme Court. Believe it or not people, this is a serious issue. Just for your information, doing my job passing this News on seeing that the MSM has ignored every single step of this process.

The Obama File — Latest News
On December 5, 2008, only ten days before the electoral college votes, the nine Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court will meet in private to review Obama’s citizenship status.

Leo Donofrio’s case, “Leo C. Donofrio, v. Nina Mitchell Wells, Secretary of State of the State of New Jersey, United States Supreme Court Docket No. 08A407,” regarding Obama’s citizenship has reached a new level. The case has been “distributed for conference.”

This docketing today by the court should send ripples of fear through the Obama camp. Obama has been proceeding at lightening speed to put together a cabinet and take possession of the White House with the hope that he won’t have to answer the question of whether or not he was “at birth” a “natural born citizen.”

Every major news network, print and cable news like FOX, CNN and MSNBC, have ignored all the court cases challenging Obama’s eligibility as sore losers or conspiracy theories. It might be in their best interest at this point to report this critically important meeting to take place on December 5, 2008, or lose what little credibility they have left.

If four of the nine Justices vote to hear the case in full review, oral argument may be ordered. The conference is scheduled for December 5, 2008, ten days before the meeting of the Electoral College…

The case originally sought, pre-election, to have the names of Barack Obama, John McCain, and Roger Calero removed from New Jersey ballots, and for a stay of the “national election” pending Supreme Court review of whether those candidates were eligible under the Constitution as natural born Citizens, as is required by Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5 of the Constitution of the United States.

Leo Donofrio brought his case from a lower New Jersey court to the NJ Supreme Court — was denied — and then he filed an emergency stay application in the United States Supreme Court on Nov. 3, 2008, before the Honorable Associate Justice David Souter. Justice Souter denied the emergency stay application on Nov. 6.

Albany at worst-Loyal to special interests, not the people

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

This should be considered criminal in nature. We the People elect these supposed leaders to represent us, isn’t that why we go to the election machines every two years? They are elected to represent the people as a whole. Each legislator is supposed to represent their district to the best of their ability. Well they all FAIL! Instead of us, the people of New York, the special interests win out every time and we have to pay.

As each of these fools played their part in front of the cameras, the rest of the legislators most likely sat around twiddling the thumbs, hung around the hallways, or gathered at a nearby pub awaiting orders from their leadership. What a joke, worst part is we paid for it all, every aspect of the day was paid for by us and all they did was refuse to do the right thing and take steps to bail out this state. They all played their part protecting their supporters like the teachers unions and all the union bosses like Danny Donahue and the civil service workers.

Why we tolerate this is beyond me so I guess I am calling the wrong ones fools, we are the fools for constantly sending them back to do the same thing every year.

Watertown Daily Times | Albany at worst

Loyal to special interests, not the people

The charade played out in Albany Tuesday by a dysfunctional state government was a disgrace. The naysayers backed by well-funded special-interest groups won the day as Gov. David A. Paterson was forced to cancel a special session of the Legislature after it was apparent the legislative leadership wasn’t going to do anything to close a $1.5 billion budget gap. And New Yorkers will pay a deeper price for their irresponsibility in the long run.

Gov. Paterson had met a steady drumbeat of opposition and predictions of dire consequences from well-funded special-interest groups and lobbyists objecting to his proposed $2 billion in midyear cuts. Legislative leaders refused to work with him. After a 90-minute gathering with the Assembly and Senate majority and minority leaders, Gov. Paterson gave in and called off the special session.

Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos’s bankrupt leadership gave political cover to Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver. Mr. Skelos, R-Rockville Centre, had refused to consider the governor’s proposals unless the governor presented his 2009-10 budget. But then he abruptly changed his position in an attempt to embarrass the governor by promising a Senate vote certain to defeat the proposed cuts. It was political posturing rather than a serious desire to work with the governor to confront the fiscal crisis.

Speaker Silver, D-Manhattan, lashed out at Sen. Skelos for “passing the buck” to the next Legislature. However, Speaker Silver merely paid lip service to the governor’s plan to bail the state out of a deficit that could reach $12.5 billion by the end of the next fiscal year.

Yet he sat back and used Senate inaction as his excuse to avoid addressing the state’s fiscal crisis in the Assembly now, rather than later. So much for leadership that kowtowed to special interests.

No Special Session; Paterson, Leaders Verbally Spar

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

What a frikin joke Albany is, all this and we paid for it. We pay for this type of side show or circus. Once again the people of New York re-elected these fools and now we are stuck with it once again. A new day is dawning? The dawning of complete Democrat control of New York with all the leadership being from downstate. Wonderful, get ready, hold on to your wallets.

It’s no longer a joke, this is a travesty.

watch the video here….

No Special Session; Paterson, Leaders Verbally Spar

No surprise – cutting billions out of the New York State budget will be a contentious process. Tuesday, state leaders duked it out verbally in Albany before a special session of the state Legislature was supposed to begin.

A meeting between Governor Paterson and top state leaders was filled with heated moments, as lawmakers disagree on how to slash $2 billion out of the budget.

Tensions were high between Paterson and Dean Skelos, the Republican leader in the state Senate. Skelos said he wanted to wait to see next year’s budget before cutting funding. Paterson couldn’t hide his annoyance.

“You have nothing,” repeated Paterson over and over to Skelos. “I’m still waiting for your submission on how to solve this problem.”

Despite that, Skelos emerges the winner. The special session will be delayed until December, as Skelos wished. Lawmakers will be heading back to Rochester. Gov. Paterson’s budget is due December 16th.

Governor, legislative leaders meet secretly

Monday, November 17th, 2008

They met, had tea and crumpets and got NOTHING accomplished and all left singing “This is the end, my only friend, the end by Jim Morrison and the Doors. We should all be singing, Say it ain’t so Gov Please, say it ain’t so, by Roger Daltry.

But why do they admit they met in secret? We have always been told that we now have an open and transparent government now in Albany? hmmm, could it be they lied to us? No, say it ain’t so. I thought they passed legislation to stop these secret meetings and we would see open debates during negotiations. I wonder if Danny Donahue was there representing the unions that have a choke hold on us, if he wasn’t there personally, he was definitely there in spirit so hold onto your wallets, I smell taxes, fees all being increased on the local level because of state mandates and on the state level. They wouldn’t know how to cut off a wart if it was on their nose.

Governor, legislative leaders meet secretly – WRGB CBS 6 Albany

Gov. David Paterson and legislative leaders refuse to say if any progress is being made in an unannounced Sunday meeting of the leaders two days before an emergency economic session.

An Associated Press reporter who learned of the meeting was escorted from Paterson’s state offices and told there would be no public disclosure of what transpired in the closed-door meeting.

Senate Republican leader Dean Skelos and Democratic Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver never embraced any of Paterson’s proposed spending cuts and refused to provide their own ideas to address a projected $2 billion budget deficit this year.

Paterson has called for cuts in school aid growth and health care, areas fiercely protected in the Legislature by special interests led by public worker unions.

Speculation abounds over Clinton's Senate seat

Monday, November 17th, 2008

OK, there is so many names floating around out there to take over for the Queen it’s incredible. The craziest one I have heard so far is Caroline Kennedy… What? Just because she works on the Obama team? No experience whatsoever just a Kennedy, must keep them in Congress I guess. If I had my druthers I would like to see Brian Higgins, although he and I disagree on many, many issues, he at least is from Western New York, he is one of the most active members of the house when it comes to local issues, he come back to the district instead of staying in DC unlike Slaughter of the innocence Louise or her heinous Hillary.

I hope the O man gives her something so at least we can get rid of her, se has done nothing for this state except suck up to the unions and teachers. All this state ever was for her was to jump start her presidential bid, end of subject.

Speculation abounds over Clinton’s Senate seat : The Buffalo News

Pressure is mounting for an upstater to succeed Hillary Rodham Clinton in the U.S. Senate should she be asked by President-elect Barack Obama to join his cabinet as secretary of state.

Erie County Democratic Chairman Leonard R. Lenihan is already campaigning for Rep. Brian Higgins of Buffalo and others speculate that Gov. David A. Paterson may consider someone from outside the group of usual candidates, given the new and total domination of state government by New York City Democrats.

“Here is an opportunity for the governor to make Western New York really important,” said Hank Sheinkopf, a Democratic political consultant from Manhattan. “He needs to get someone of high quality and substance from Western New York. It’s the fair and right thing to do.”

While Clinton refused to address the speculation Friday during an appearance in suburban Albany, the game of political dominoes is already under way. Some news outlets are mentioning Mayor Byron W. Brown as a potential candidate, and the mayor said Friday he would consider an appointment but is “focused” on his current job.

But other major names are entering the mix, too, and not necessarily from upstate. They include Rep. Steve Israel of Long Island, Rep. Greg Meeks of Queens, former Bronx Borough President Fernando Ferrer and state Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo.

County bill on hiring contractors draws fire

Monday, November 17th, 2008

OMG, leave it to Tim Kennedy to come up with this stupid idea, he is so in bed with the union contractors he can no longer try to disguise it, it’s sickening. I would like all the union contractors to answer questions too. How many times have you gone over budget on a project, how many times have you not completed a project on time, how many times have non union contractors had to come in to bail you out, how many times have you harassed contractors for not being unionized, how many times have you broken windshields, flattened tires, verbally and physically assaulted construction workers just because they were not union, why are you and your union companies the only ones allowed to do city, town, village, county, state and federal work?

I have personally seen all of the above and more, I have been in the construction industry for 32 years and the biggest job I ever ran was a multimillion dollar building at the Niagara Falls Air Force Base, I have been harassed at sites all over Western New York, why? Because I am not union, never have been, never will be. Even when I had to hire a company that was non union just because union companies locally did not do the work I needed to have done, I have been harassed.

This thug mentality should have been dead in the 50’s but welcome to New York where the unions are still living in the past and if your not one of them your not welcome here and you cannot be allowed to work here. Grow up!

County bill on hiring contractors draws fire :The Buffalo News

Proposal focuses on responsibility

Erie County lawmakers will consider a bill forcing the county’s construction contractors to prove they are “responsible,” but an industry spokesman calls it a way for a pro-union Legislature to hinder nonunion contractors.

Aides to County Executive Chris Collins see similar problems, and it appears he would veto the bill if the Legislature sends it to him.

Like most governments, Erie County awards contracts to the lowest responsible bidder and expects them to meet relevant rules, such as providing workers’ compensation insurance and paying the prevailing wage. In addition, New York state bars contractors from public projects for repeated violations of the prevailing wage law or for playing games with their payrolls.

A proposed law, which will soon enter the legislative labyrinth, would require Erie County contractors to answer 10 yes or no questions, including: whether a top official has filed for bankruptcy in the last five years; had a professional license suspended or revoked; been cited under the Occupational Safety and Health Act; violated the National Labor Relations Act or an environmental health law; or been a defendant in a lawsuit over a personal injury, wrongful death or discrimination.

A bidder who answers yes to any question is deemed not responsible but can go before the county’s public works commissioner to reverse its status, said Legislator Timothy M. Kennedy, D-Buffalo, chairman of the Economic Development Committee and a force behind the proposal. Otherwise, the contract would go to the next highest bidder who meets the test.

The bill, which has yet to be formally introduced and can be amended, also would allow any Erie County citizen to challenge the commissioner by requesting a hearing to “present evidence and testimony as to why the contractor or subcontractor is not responsible.” The Legislature would be the final arbiter since it approves contracts worth more than $10,000.

Scott Zylka, a representative for the Associated Builders and Contractors in Western New York, suspects the law could be used for witch hunts against non-union contractors.

“As a national organization we have seen this in other states and municipalities,” Zylka said. “It is just another union-favorable piece of legislation. A lot of times you will see extra clauses. This is a way for unions to go after open-shop contractors by putting them on a witch-hunt list.”

Paterson plan: No layoffs, no raises for state workers

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

All we hear from the unions is that they have a plan without cutting jobs and raises. Sure have you seen it? Have you heard about it? The main plan is to get more creative in funding. What does that mean? Looking in places where they haven’t raised taxes and fees lately. Never do the take a leadership role in trying to save the taxpayers a dime, never mind a dime, not even a penny. It sickens me.

If you work at your private sector job and your boss said there is either going to be layoffs or we have to hold off on your raise this year, what would you say? I personally would rather have the job and give up the pay raise. It’s to help save the company. Union leadership could care less about the company, it’s all about them and how they can do two things. 1- line their own pockets with union dues and 2- screwing the taxpayer because we are the bottomless pit for their funding here in New York.

If I had my way I would work to eliminate unions from all government jobs, all of them. We are held hostage, no matter what the shape the economy, no matter how the population dwindles away, we have to pay more to make up for the loss of population in taxes and fees. If their pension fund gets below a certain level, WE have to make that up by paying more. We have to bail them out of everything yet there is no requirement for them to pay state taxes on their pensions. The population in Florida is growing everyday with retired New York pension retirees and we get nothing from them to say Thanks, Thanks for giving me a job, Thanks for the health care, thanks for not forcing me to pay taxes on my pension.

We should file bankruptcy in this state and start all over again because this system is killing us.

Local News: Paterson plan: No layoffs, no raises for state workers

Governor David Paterson’s plan to axe a negotiated three percent raise for state workers will harm do considerably harm to the employees and their families, union leaders said Wednesday.

Paterson proposed the freeze as a means of avoiding layoffs in the 2009-2010 fiscal year. He did not suggest layoffs for 2008.

“People don’t understand that when you say there’s no raise for next year, whatever amount of money that would have [received] next year, that’s money you’re not getting for the rest of your career each year,” said Ken Brynien, President of the Public Employees Federation (PEF). “So each person is being asked to give up alot of money over the course of their career to save the state.”

Paterson’s budget proposal also calls for state workers to pay more for health insurance, and for workers and retirees to contribute to Medicare Part B premiums. Under the plan, workers would also delay a single paycheck, pushing it into the next fiscal year.

Steven Madarasz, Communications Director for the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA), said Paterson’s plan undermines the negotiated contracts.
