DRUDGE REPORT 2009®
ZOGBY: MCCAIN MOVES INTO LEAD 48-47 IN ONE DAY POLLING

ZOGBY SATURDAY: McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in Friday poll. He is beginning to cut into Obama’s lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all…

Stachowski, Steve Barber, Channel 7 and the Delano Campaign

Friday, October 31st, 2008

Stachowski, Steve Barber, Channel 7 and the Delano Campaign, are all of them in cahoots and on the campaign staff on now desperate Senator Stachowski? Seems so. They ran this piece and never attempted to contact Dennis Delano or to get proof of any of these allegations. Dennis Delano sent them his response and to date they have not aired any of it. Talk about biased reporting. These are very serious allegations against Delano and he responded to every one of them line by line in an email to me. I have posted all of it below.

SD-58: Is Delano Violating The Hatch Act? The US Office Of Special Counsel Seems To Say Yes
The Albany Project even ran with the piece, of course they are all Democrat, all the time. In their eyes only Democrats deserve to be in office and they will fix this state.

So now that Stachowski is finally in the race for his long political career and the easiest job in all of politics, the New York State Senate, he is desperately running ads and recruiting Steve Barber and channel 7 to do his bidding for him. If you are going to run a story about anyone then run the whole story, not half, not a quarter or in this case none of the opponents opinions, and they call this reporting? I call it a hit piece from a supposed “News Channel” and a hack reporter named Steve Barber.

Channel 7 needs to run a correction on all of these allegations and Steve Barber should get a job as Len Lenihans hit man or spokesman. This is apparently where his heart and soul belongs. Writing and promoting false allegations is far from journalism but I suppose they are learning from the best, abccbsmsnbcnbccnn etal.

#1(NOWHERE IN THIS ARTICLE DOES IT SAY THAT ANYONE TRIED TO CONTACT THE “OFFICE OF SPECIAL COUNCEL FOR AN OPINION!)

We know that SD-58 hopeful Dennis Delano, the guy who won’t debate or talk to the press,

#2 I HAVE ALWAYS TRIED TO ACCOMMODATE THE PRESS IF IT WAS POSSIBLE, WHY WOULDN’T I?)

was suspended from the Buffalo Police Department back in February and has continued to collect a paycheck ever since, even as he is running for office. The hole thing sounds pretty damn fishy to begin with and now there is this. #3 What is “fishy” about it?

By remaining on the public payroll while running for the Senate and not getting a waiver from the US Office of Special Counsel, #4 At the very end of this article, the author admits that he doesn’t know if I got a waiver or not, no one called them to check!

it seems rather clear that Delano is violating one of the oldest campaign laws on the books, the Hatch Act. That’s a pretty big no-no. I just received this release from the Stachowski campaign:

IS DELANO IN VIOLATION OF THE HATCH ACT?

Campaign in shambles #5, How is this determined? as Republican candidate-in-hiding breaks the federal law that prohibits politicking while collecting a public paycheck #6. There is no federal law that prohibits “politicking while collecting a public paycheck!

Buffalo – (October 29, 2008) – Republican State Senate candidate Dennis Delano was slammed today with questions regarding his candidacy and likely violation of federal law. #7. This article came out at 11:42 am, My campaign office got one call from Steve Barber at 12:30 asking if I had a waiver, and one call shortly afterwards from Fred Williams at the news, that’s a “slam”? Delano, who has hid from the public after a series of high profile embarrassments in which he showcased ignorance about the Taylor Law, gerrymandering and other 8th grade lessons, #8. never happened, in fact they have been accusing me of “NOT discussing anything, they can’t have it both ways! has failed to provide any documentation that proves his campaign is not in direct violation of the Hatch Act of 1939, officially known as an Act to Prevent Pernicious Political Activities. #9. NO ONE at ANYTIME has EVER requested anything in regards to the hatch act from me! don’t you think that they would have “leaked” it at the time that they had asked for it if they actually did?

“Voters have a right to know that the person asking for their vote is not intentionally breaking the law,” declared Campaign Manager Cathy Calhoun. “Delano has failed to provide any proof so far that his campaign is legit. If appropriate documentation is not readily accessible, the consequence is clear: he must cease his candidacy or resign effective immediately” #10. If this is article is the first time anyone has ever heard of these allegations and it was posted at 11:42 this morning, when was any “proof” asked for? These statements are totally ludicrous!!!

Calhoun added, “Dennis needs to take a civics course. He has displayed nothing but contempt for the public #11. This statement is bizarre

Under the Hatch Act anyone paid with federal dollars must seek an advisory opinion and waiver from the U.S. Office of the Special Counsel before launching a political candidacy. #12. Not true, but even if it was, I have NEVER been paid with federal dollars

“Has Dennis spoken with legal advisors who have previously advised him on this issue? #13. YES, before I agreed to run for office, but this article is the first time I have been asked about it, how could I respond if the article is already posted?

If so, whom? #14. two senate campaign finance committee legal researchers, and Jim Schwan, PBA attorney, How could I respond if this article is the first anyone has asked?

Does he have a written advisory or waiver from the Special Counsel? #14. According to the hatch act, I don’t need one!

Do his actions place any liability on the City of Buffalo or the local police? #15. I don’t know, I would have to ask my state senator, but I’m sure that the Police commissioner would have loved to have been able to add that to my charges if it had any merit!

Calhoun demanded. “Dennis’s actions could have far-reaching consequences. Not knowing the Hatch Act, the Taylor Law and other important laws has left us wondering what he actually does know.” #16. Is it me or “stach” that doesn’t know the hatch act? Have I not been working under the taylor law for the last 28 years????? How was it determined that I do not know these things? What “other important laws?, I’d be willing to bet that I know far more about state laws than my opponent! What legislations has he passed?, how many times do you think I have actually used laws during my 28 year tenure as a cop?

It was reported October 26th by Channel 7 News that since being suspended in February, Dennis Delano has continued to collect his salary. About $41, 297 has been paid to Delano in that time. Since dedicating himself to his Republican candidacy, Delano has pocketed an additional $26,000, all of which comes at the expense of taxpayers. (See broadcast text from last email)!!#17. She fails to mention that it was stach that brought it to channel 7 news for his interview in the first place!!!! Channel 7 also noted that Delano has purposefully prolonged his suspension, delaying the hearing into his alleged misconduct until after the election. #18. Totally false see broadcast text from last email—> see below.

——————————————————————————–

WKBW MAY 27,2008

Delano is still collecting his full pay from the Buffalo police department while he awaits a still unscheduled hearing on accusations he released evidence to the media. “I wish it would happen tomorrow. I’m waiting for a hearing,” says Delano, “I have documentation that shows I think they did the

wrong thing here.” Delano says he’ll probably retire from his police job, but not before the hearing.

A Buffalo police spokesperson says Delano’s hearing hasn’t been scheduled yet because there are other officers also awaiting hearings that need to be scheduled first.

Wkbw October 28,2008

Delano or the Buffalo Police department would comment about the delay, but his opponent in the upcoming election, State Senator Bill Stachowski is wondering why it’s taking so long. “I have no idea why he wouldn’t want to get it over with sooner, which if he is in-fact innocent or do anything wrong then you would think he would want to get it over quicker and get it out of the way.” said Stachowski.

——————————————————————————–

“Talk about the sweet life, the guy is getting paid to campaign. #19. Is Stach getting paid to campaign? I have lost over 30,000 dollars in overtime and court time so far this year by not being able to work, how much has stach lost by campaigning? Who has the “sweet life”!!!!! Long Islander Dean Skelos has lined his pockets and taxpayers are footing his bills,” said Calhoun. #20. bold faced lie! “No wonder this guy can’t find the time to talk to voters, he’s too busy finding ways to skirt the law. As it turns out ignorance is bliss, and profitable!” #21. Bold faced Lie! If I have said it once I have said it 100 times that one of the reasons that I don’t participate in “controlled forums” is that I have been spending most of my time on the streets, actually meeting and speaking with voters, and it has been working so why change?

In an advisory by Larry James, General Counsel to the National Fraternal Order of Police, it is plainly noted as impermissible to “run for any elected partisan office.” #22 (A) an advisory is a written opinion on something not a person to person communication like it seems to be here, but either way it is a Totally false statement, and must be cut from a longer statement! The advisory also states that it is against the law to “allow one’s name or likeness to be used in campaign literature in the police officer’s professional capacity.” #22.(B) probably true, but doesn’t pertain to ANYTHING here! (C) Who the hell is this guy and what is this organization?

An advisory by the U.S. Office of the Special Counsel states: (NOTE), “there is that word “advisory” again, which means up to this point in the article, NO ONE has actually contacted ANYONE from the counsel to ask the simple question of if I have a waiver or not!!!!”)

Covered employees are those whose principal employment is with a state, county or municipal executive agency, and whose job duties are “in connection with” programs financed in whole or in part by loans or grants made by the United States or an agency thereof. 5 U.S.C. § 1501(4).#23. If my opponent was any kind of “legislature”, wouldn’t he be able to determine that this has no bearing on my employment as a detective with the BPD? or is he THAT dumb? Employees are subject to the Act if, as a normal and foreseeable incident of their principal employment, they perform duties in connection with the federally financed activities. #24. As far as I or anyone else knows, investigations of Homicides are not “federally funded activities” so this doesn’t pertain either! In re Hutchins, 2 P.A.R. 160, 164 (1944); Special Counsel v. Gallagher, 44 M.S.P.R. 57 (1990). Coverage is not dependent on the source of an employee’s salary, nor is it dependent upon whether the employee actually administers the funds or has policy duties with respect to them. Special Counsel v. Williams, 56 M.S.P.R. 277, 283-84 (1993), aff’d, Williams v. M.S.P.B., 55 F.3d 917 (4th Cir. 1995), cert. denied, 516 U.S. 1071 (1996) (unreported decision). #25. Irrelevant, but included by her none the less!!!

“Thankfully for Dennis’s sake, the requirements are clear if he reads them. #26. I have to admit, she may be correct on this point, they are very clear if you bother to read them! If he has not broken the law, just show us the proof already. #27. “already when?, the first time I ANYONE is hearing about this is by this article!!! The public’s trust hangs in the balance,” #28., Have to admit, she may be correct here also, but not the way she thinks it is!!! concluded Calhoun. (NOTE, “thank God she has “concluded”

This seems to be a rather cut and dry case. Either Delano obtained a waiver from the Office of Special Counsel or he did not. If he did, he needs to produce it pronto. If he did not, he’s in deep doo-doo. #30. Well? What can we say about this wonderful author’s personal opinion after reading the above eh? Also “see the title of this article for my opening statement about no one at anytime bothering to make a simple phone call to verify any of the above nonsense, not that it would matter anyway, because the hatch act does not cover my situation in the first place, and they had to KNOW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

End of story. (NOTE, I feel like I have just fell down the rabbit hole!!!!!!!)

Paterson Finds Opposition In Plea For Fed. Funding

i-want-more.jpg

Begging, how pathetic that Paterson has to stoop so low to have to beg. He does this because the Democrats in the Assembly and the Senate refuse to get spending under control. Sure blame this on the Wall Street fat cats but we have been facing the fiscal abyss for years, this just happened to put us over the edge.

Before Wall Street took the plunge we were looking at 25 Billion plus in the hole. Why? Because Albany refuses to number one, control spending and the excessive pork lade budgets. Two, they do it because they can, they are unaccountable for anything they do. They cannot be defeated in the term limits every two years, the gerrymandered districts that unless you have assaulted and molested a child you will be in for life, and Sheldon Silver will work over time to even keep that a secret if he can. As long as you vote the way the King tells you to you are there until you retire of die, how pathetic this state is.

Third, we are majority Democrat by over 3 million voters, both our Senators are Democrat and Congress is being run by Democrats, so what’s the problem, can’t blame this on Bush and the Republicans. Where is Chuckie? Where is Hillary? To busy lining their own pockets and forcing the economy in the tank so we can slide into a socialist country, that’s where.

Before anyone goes begging they need to get their own house in order. Paterson needs to bring the legislature out back and kick their a$$es and once all these efforts have been exhausted then ask for help. When the Albany legislators cannot and will not do the job that needs to be done they need to go, but how….

We have the highest taxes around and the worst business climate in the country. Try reversing the course and step away from all these failed policies that have dominated this state for decades. Sometime I wish the feds would come in and lock up most of these incompetant boobs that claim to be working for us, what a joke.

wcbstv.com – Paterson Finds Opposition In Plea For Fed. Funding

It started with Gov. David Paterson asking the feds to help bail New York and other states out of the fiscal crisis, but it was a confrontation with a fellow governor that grabbed most of the attention.

Paterson, a Democrat, and Republican Gov. Mark Sanford of South Carolina duked it out Wednesday at a congressional hearing on whether the feds should help states deal with their crushing fiscal woes with a new economic stimulus package.

“I’m not here to beg, I’m here to say that New York doesn’t need a handout. We need a hand-back,” Paterson told Congress.

But Paterson’s argument that the federal government “owes” New York help because last year it sent Washington nearly $87 billion more than it got back didn’t wash with Sanford.

“I am here to respectfully beg of this committee not to approve a $150 billion stimulus package,” he retorted.

“We need the same resources that we have distributed to our national economy to bail that economy out many times to help other states get back far more than they pay in taxes,” said Paterson.

“Many people complain about the fiscal irresponsibility of the federal government, in fact the only group that has been more fiscally irresponsible in fact has been the states,” Sanford said in his argument.

Paterson and Sanford offered heady arguments featuring quotes from noted economists and the novelist Ayn Rand. But another local witness went lowbrow to make his case.

Found ~ Barack Obama’s aunt Zeituni Onyango

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

wealth-spread.jpg

Well another long lost ancestor of Obama that appears to have been told not to talk to anyone. She declined to answer most other questions about her relationship with the presidential contender until after the November 4 election.

“I can’t talk about it, I just pray for him, that’s all,” she said, adding: “After the 4th, I can talk to anyone.”

It simply amazes me that Obama talks about taking care of others, he went to see his grandmother in Hawaii because he said if we can’t take care of our own, how can we take care of others… While he was there he ordered the governor to lock up and seal the possible conflicts with his birth certificate.

So an uncle and aunt living in poor conditions in Boston and Obama is worth million and he wants US to share the wealth, not his wealth, ours. Why is it that we have to find this information out from the foreign media and no one covers it here? Hmmmm.

Found in a rundown Boston estate: Barack Obama’s aunt Zeituni Onyango – Times Online

Barack Obama has lived one version of the American Dream that has taken him to the steps of the White House. But a few miles from where the Democratic presidential candidate studied at Harvard, his Kenyan aunt and uncle, immigrants living in modest circumstances in Boston, have a contrasting American story.

Zeituni Onyango, the aunt so affectionately described in Mr Obama’s best-selling memoir Dreams from My Father, lives in a disabled-access flat on a rundown public housing estate in South Boston.

A second relative believed to be the long-lost “Uncle Omar” described in the book was beaten by armed robbers with a “sawed-off rifle” while working in a corner shop in the Dorchester area of the city. He was later evicted from his one-bedroom flat for failing to pay $2,324.20 (£1,488) arrears, according to the Boston Housing Court.

The US press has repeatedly rehearsed Mr Obama’s extraordinary odyssey, but the other side of the family’s American experience has only been revealed in parts. Just across town from where Mr Obama made history as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review, some of his closest blood relatives have confronted the harshness of immigrant life in America.

In his book Mr Obama writes that “Uncle Omar” had gone missing after moving to Boston in the 1960s – a quarter-century before Mr Obama first visited his family in Kenya. Aunt Zeituni is now also living in Boston, and recently made a $260 campaign contribution to her nephew’s presidential bid from a work address in the city.

Speaking outside her home in Flaherty Way, South Boston, on Tuesday, Ms Onyango, 56, confirmed she was the “Auntie Zeituni” in Mr Obama’s memoir. She declined to answer most other questions about her relationship with the presidential contender until after the November 4 election. “I can’t talk about it, I just pray for him, that’s all,” she said, adding: “After the 4th, I can talk to anyone.”

Something frustrating! This time, it's political

super-barak-obama.jpg

The following was written by my 21 Year Old Son who is a College Student at a local college in the Buffalo area. Enjoy, I did and I am very proud of him!

————————————————
Something frustrating! This time, it’s political.

BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.
This little rant doesn’t need an introduction.
I’m going to dive right in, and tell you what is wrong with Obama.

1. Obama openly admitted to allowing ACORN shape his political agenda.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vJcVgJhNaU
ACORN is an infamously corrupt organization that has been known to commit vote FRAUD on a massive scale.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2118362/posts

2. Obama has changed the presidential seal.
http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_obama_seal.htm

3. He blatantly attacks Christianity without even a small bit of understanding of what he’s saying. This is a Christian nation, Mr. Obama. Wait a second, I thought you were Christian? I guess you’re a liar too.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBKD6zrHzM0&feature=related

4. Obama wants to take our guns from us. This is a RIGHT guaranteed by the 2nd amendment of the Constitution. “”There is an individual right to bear arms, but it’s subject to commonsense regulation”
http://freerepublic.info/focus/f-news/2105241/posts

5. Obama aims to socialize nearly everything. This idea is the opposite of American capitalism.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/1768917/posts

6. Obama has yet to provide proof that he is a naturally born citizen (which would make his presidential campaign UNCONSTITUTIONAL). And for whatever reason, articles and newspapers present his Hawaiian birth as a fact. Obama was not born at the Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children, Wikipedia.
Just the simple fact that Obama (or his “people”) forged a birth certificate should be enough to condemn him. But, of course, the experts who examined his birth certificate, and labeled it as a forgery, MUST BE WRONG!
http://lamecherry.blogspot.com/2008/08/proof-barack-obama-birth-certificate-is.html

7. Obama is 100% pro-abortion. I am not going to get into the abortion issue, because I don’t believe that my personal opinion will sway yours. However, when it comes to Obama’s opinion, he is worse than NARAL (National Abortion Rights Action League).
If the child survives an abortion, he/she is issued a birth certificate. Obama refuses to give this newly born HUMAN BEING life support, even if he/she would be able to survive, on life support, and fairly quickly on his/her own. Even NARAL is for giving life support to babies who survive abortions.

8. He wants to tax businesses that make more than 250,000 per year, in the same way a large business is taxed. This would easily put hundreds of thousands of small businesses out of business.

9. Obama is as inexperienced as they come. Until he decided to run for election, he served a total of 143 days in the United States Senate.
143 DAYS!!
You can’t even become a supervisor at McDonalds after only 143 days of experience.
Yet, strangely, the American people are ok with this.

10. He is openly racist. I’m sure you’ve heard plenty of Reverend Wright’s remarks on the topic of race. Nearly every Sunday, Reverend Wright spews hate-speech against white people.
You may say, “But Elijah, Obama isn’t Reverend Wright!”
To that I would say, why yes, you’re right. However, Obama attended Wright’s church for 20 YEARS. I don’t know about you, but I don’t attend a church for more than a single week if I disagree with EVERYTHING THE PREACHER IS SAYING. Obama is guilty by association, not to mention the nasty things that his WIFE has to say.
And remember, according to Barack Obama- people who are afraid of black people are “typical white people”.
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0208/8642.html
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/us_elections_2008/7675551.stm

11. Obama’s vice-presidential pick, Joe Biden, guaranteed an “international crisis” during the first year of Obama’s reign of terror.
“Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
Joe Biden said this.
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/10/biden-to-suppor.html

Now, what do you think would happen if Sarah Palin said the exact same thing about John McCain? The media would be ALL OVER HER.

In conclusion, I am EXPECTING those who read this to check out the websites that I put up as references.
I am EXPECTING that these things will have an impact on who you will vote for.
I am also EXPECTING you to vote.
Not for McCain, necessarily. But I am EXPECTING you to know WHO you are going to vote for, and WHY.
Thanks for reading.
VOTE.

One final thought.
If you’re voting for Obama because you HATE BUSH, that is the most ignorant reason…. EVER.
Check out McCain’s voting record vs Bush’s voting record.
He disagrees with Bush on plenty of issues.
McCain is not Bush.

Government computers used to find information on Joe the Plumber

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Alright, this is all very disturbing. The Obama thugocracy is clearly at work here and the worst part is that it is being done by government workers on the taxpayers dime. This is illegal… can we get any clearer than this? It is a violation of the Law, but as we have seen time and time again that doesn’t matter when it comes to politicians and the hacks they have working in the patronage pits and the union controlled government offices.

The Columbus Dispatch : Government computers used to find information on Joe the Plumber

Investigators trying to determine whether access was illegal

The Columbus Dispatch
“State and local officials are investigating if state and law-enforcement computer systems were illegally accessed when they were tapped for personal information about “Joe the Plumber.”

Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher became part of the national political lexicon Oct. 15 when Republican presidential candidate John McCain mentioned him frequently during his final debate with Democrat Barack Obama.

The 34-year-old from the Toledo suburb of Holland is held out by McCain as an example of an American who would be harmed by Obama’s tax proposals.

Public records requested by The Dispatch disclose that information on Wurzelbacher’s driver’s license or his sport-utility vehicle was pulled from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles database three times shortly after the debate.

Information on Wurzelbacher was accessed by accounts assigned to the office of Ohio Attorney General Nancy H. Rogers, the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency and the Toledo Police Department.

It has not been determined who checked on Wurzelbacher, or why. Direct access to driver’s license and vehicle registration information from BMV computers is restricted to legitimate law enforcement and government business.

Paul Lindsay, Ohio spokesman for the McCain campaign, attempted to portray the inquiries as politically motivated. “It’s outrageous to see how quickly Barack Obama’s allies would abuse government power in an attempt to smear a private citizen who dared to ask a legitimate question,” he said.

‘Joe The Plumber’…Government Invasion Of Privacy…Government Computers Used…A Glimpse Into The Obama Future?

Imagine it’s a sunny Autumn day… your out on the lawn playing football with your son…a politician and his entourage appears…so you ask him a single question…he fumbles the answer…tells you in layman’s terms what his plans are…and his plan is to ’spread the wealth’!

Imagine days later…you open up the paper only to find articles attacking you…you find out that your private information is now in print. You get on the computer…you find article after article…disclosing information on your job…your tax record…your birth certificate…where you lived…court records…and you are personally attacked over and over again.

You never broke the law…you not under investigation for some heinous crime such as bombing a government building…No…you did something much worse…you asked a question.

'Nightmare scenario' in State Senate

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

This would be incredible but it is very foreseeable. I went through all this when Spitzer resigned in disgrace and Paterson was catapulted into the governors office. I will have to go back and reread what I posted back then. We were looking at the same type of thing then and it is in the NY Constitution as to how this will have to be handled. Seeing that there is no Lt Gov someone has to break the tie. Hopefully it will not get to this point.

‘Nightmare scenario’ in State Senate

ALBANY – It’s being called “the nightmare scenario”: a State Senate unable to work because Democrats and Republicans win an equal number of seats in the Nov. 4 elections.

Such a tie hasn’t occurred before in modern New York history but is looking more likely because there are only a few close races out of 62. And if the legislature’s upper chamber were evenly split, there’s no lieutenant governor to cast the deciding vote in the leadership election in January.

The prospect of a stalemated Senate worries officials here because of the financial crisis. Instead of closing this year’s budget deficit of $2 billion, senators could be fighting for control. “It throws the whole Senate into real confusion,” said Stanley B. Klein, a political scientist on the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. “Without a leader, it’s every man and woman for themselves and that would be absolute chaos.”

Both parties foresee victory

Klein recalled 1965, the last time Democrats held sway in the Senate and how their infighting led to a protracted leadership election. Resolution came only after the Republican governor, Nelson Rockefeller, ordered senators from his party to vote for one of the two Democratic candidates.

Stachowski Deploys Bill Clinton Phone Call

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

In a sign of how big the stakes are in one local New York State senate race,

The title needs to be changed just a tad…. In a sign of just how DESPERATE Stachowski has become…. Dennis Delano is exactly what this state needs and he will do the job representing the district that Stachowski has failed to do. He boasts about fighting for the taxpayers but all you have to do is look at the district and the condition of the NY state economy. I just wish we could clean house in the legislature but the gerrymandered districts have prevented that.

Now Jim Kelly and Bill Clinton? I guess they like seeing WNY the way it is. No wonder we stay stagnant. To claim he fought mandated closures is ridiculous, Sure he did and so did just about every politician running for re-election. The thing is the panel that was put in place to help fix the bloated hospitals around here recommended closing and consolidating health care facilities…. The unions fought tooth and nail each and every recommendation. What did Stachowski do? He simply bowed down and kissed the ring of the union bosses and fought all the recommendations so here we are millions more wasted on studies and panels and the healthcare industry is still a mess….

First @ WBEN: Stachowski Deploys Bill Clinton Phone Call

What do former Buffalo Bills Quarterback Jim Kelly and now former US President Bill Clinton have in common?

In a sign of how big the stakes are in one local New York State senate race, Stachowski (D-Cheektowaga) has turned to former president Bill Clinton in an automated campaign call to local voters, the latest in high profile campaign help to come from the likes of celebrities like Kelly, featured recently in Stachowski ads .

The 30 second Clinton message was received by local voters this week, as Stachowski turns to the high profile ex-president to help battle against a high-profile former cop Dennis Delano, a Republican winning in the polls and riding a wave of popularity for his role in freeing innocent convicts Lynn DeJac and Anthony Capozzi.

While Delano has shunned public appearances and many campaign interviews, he has relied heavily on television ads in his campaign. Stachowski has countered with television ads that have recently featured former Buffalo Bills hall of fame quarterback Jim Kelly, a Republican urging voters to pick Stachowski

The Clinton message talks of Stachowski’s role in fighting against state mandated closures and job cuts at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Cheektowaga and says Stachowski ” helped to bring over a thousand jobs to the Inner Harbor.”

Welfare State (Obama's Tax Plan)(Transcript and Video)

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

Note that FoxNews states this is an automated transcript, so it has errors, but it gets the key points. You can also watch the video.

Andrew Biggs

Social Security is going broke and Obama wants to reduce the number of people paying into it, and have those who pay income taxes pay even more to provide retirement to others.

Welfare State (Obama’s Tax Plan)(Transcript and Video)

Andrew Biggs has spent years working on Social Security issues and is currently with American enterprise institute the morning team under. Good morning good spirits are so here’s what I mean just in and you are a former Social Security Administration official. See you really understand the whole idea of this tax plan. Can you break it down for us with regard to”…

Play from 0:56[0:56] …” Well senator Obama’s tax plan is very confusing for typical people I think a part of that is deliberate. In essence so here’s what’s going on. Senator Obama wants to reduce Social Security payroll taxes for low income people. So a lot of them wouldn’t be paying very much into the system anymore so when we pain nothing and Social Security. But he still continue to paid in full benefits at retirement. So this is an essence a transfer to people. This plan would cost around 700 billion dollars over the next ten years and to pay for — increase income taxes on higher income people. Says it would really be big changes how Social Security has always functioned. The system was set up a president Roosevelt hasn’t earned the benefit not as a welfare program you only pay benefits to people retirement. Who paid full taxes while they’re working. Senator Obama wants to change in essence he wants to pay benefits or retirement to people who didn’t pay the full payroll tax and”…

Play from 2:16[2:16] …” throughout Social Security history they’ve never used income taxes to fund the system. What senator Obama’s doing through a little bit of and shifting around in book TV contracts. Is essentially cutting the payroll tax for low income”…

Play from 2:48[2:48] …” One of the issues that’s is that senator Obama’s plan to set up in such a way that typical person would never understand what’s going on. He just thinks it refundable tax credits and things like that the most people really won’t get. But it really is a big change in how we be doing this if so obscure over funded. If it had extra money that I can understand cutting taxes for people who who — Social Security weren’t too generous to low income people can understand that too. Social Security’s going broke and it’s already a generous benefits to low income people. It’s not clear exactly why don’t need to cut payroll taxes for lower earners and increase on higher I have not an economist and — one of the people they don’t — they — details of this and I essentially essentially it is re distributing wealth of — somebody’s money and then. He tells them they have to pay as much so they can hold on to the other person’s mind so essentially they’ve taken the 5% and give it to the 95%. This is all part and parcel of senator Obama’s general philosophy redistribution. We take money from some people give it the other people and he’s the middleman who decides who gets what. Americans are not opposed to giving them money to other people but they like to do through charity work very charitable people. Americans get a little upset when the — taken from him to give to somebody else was with Senator Obama making decisions on who gets what. Thank goodness we found somebody who used to work for the so

Dennis Delano Endorses Diane LaVallee

Monday, October 27th, 2008

I agree 100% with Dennis on this. At the beginning we at Primary Challenge endorsed Ken Case for some of the very reasons that Dennis states here. When Ken lost the primary I didn’t get behind anyone until I had lunch with Dennis and Diane LaVallee.

Had Diane come to us before we endorsed I may have had a different opinion. To me Ken went against everything he preached in the primary by endorsing Sedita. Is he looking for a job?

On election day please consider pulling the lever for Diane LaValle for DA.

Dennis Delano for NY State Senate!     “Doing the Right Thing!”

I would like to take this time to set the record straight in regards to my endorsement for the race for the Erie County District Attorney’s office.

I publicly supported Ken Case for District Attorney because I thought that he represented the change that was needed in that office. I was assured by Ken, that his stand both against the status quo, the “heavy-handedness” and sheer arrogance that both Police and victims were subjected to by Mr. Clark and Mr. Sedita for the past 12 years was enough. Ken told me that he wanted to change all of that, and I took him at his word. As it turns out, his word meant nothing, and I now find myself in the uncomfortable position of making this apology to my friends and supporters that I have been assuring that Ken was going to “do the right thing” if elected to the DA’s position.

Now, Ken wants me and everyone else who has supported him, to support the man that Ken has always said was just another “Frank Clark” copy! Well, I don’t think the average taxpayer in this county, can afford to be “hustled” by these guys again. The only candidate left standing that truly believes that the taxpayers deserve better is Diane LaValee, and she is the most logical choice for me and anyone that knows me to support for election to be the next District Attorney of Erie County. Again please accept my apologies for not having seen through all of this nonsense in the first place.
