Whine Alert! Iannello is whining again but so typical she is calling for an investigation. So far everything I have read about what Golisano is doing is legal. A PAC can legally do a whole lot for a candidate without donating directly to any campaign. If a PAC wants to run ads, send out mailings, do radio and or TV commercials, they can. She is married to the Democrat commissioner of elections, they should know this, well they probably do but are just using this as fodder to brainwash the electorate into believing that they are violating elections law.
The special interests groups that throw support, money, manpower, commercials for Democrats are usually the unions and trial lawyers. A clue, follow the money, it’s easy by just going to the Board of Elections website and click on a candidates financial disclosure. Iannello just needs to stop whining so much, now she sees what it looks like from the other side yet I didn’t whine, it’s a fact of life in the corrupt political world.
Iannello Keeps Hammer On Golisano PAC
Democratic Senate candidate Michelle Iannello plans to seek an an investigation by the state Board of Elections, the Attorney General’s office and the Albany County District Attorney’s office into Tom Golisano’s political committee Responsible New York.
She said she will discuss tomorrow evidence that Golisano plans to spend $1 million on behalf of her Democratic opponent “Baby” Joe Mesi in coordination with Mesi’s campaign. They are running for a western New York seat being vacated by Republican Sen. Mary Lou Rath.
She’s holding a news conference tomorrow in Buffalo.
Golisano’s camp has insisted that it has made no decision on which candidates to back, nor is working with any campaigns. They said the PAC is legal because it would be an independent expenditure on behalf of candidates—just as unions or other special interest groups spend money on races.
