Up until now, Obama to me has just been another garden-variety stealth liberal socialist. But with moves like this, in all seriousness, the man is starting to scare me. We’ve avoided cults of personality in this country’s Presidential history, for the most part, and I damn sure don’t want to see us start now. The sheer hubris of this is just mind-blowing.

Obama To Accept Nomination Before 75,000+ (Nuremburg-Style!)

The Obama campaign announced Monday that he will leave the hall of the Democratic National Convention in Denver and deliver a rock-star-style acceptance speech at Invesco Field at Mile High, quadrupling his live audience.

The speech will be on the fourth and final day of the convention, Aug. 28.

Adding to the historic resonance of the first African-American to be nominated for president, that’s also the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream Speech.”

The move means additional expense for the television networks, where executives are having a conference call Monday to discuss the expense and logistics of moving their cameras and anchors to the new location after months of planning for a finale in the Pepsi Center.

The convention hall has a capacity of 19,000, compared to more than 76,000 at Invesco.
