Obama, time to meet reality

First of all voting to take OPEC to court is an absolute joke, do you think they really care about us? NO, we aren’t a threat because we have been told that drilling in this country is off limits, building refineries, building nuclear power plants is off the table… So we are stuck getting oil from them and they know it. Besides, what court is going to hear this case? The UN? HAHAHAHA! that’s a joke.

Now, Obama meeting with any of our enemy is following in the footsteps of Jimmy Carter, Carter has made a fool of himself and is so aligned with the far left and the art of appeasement. He should have his passport revoked. Maybe Obama will pick Carter for his running mate, they deserve each other.

Obama, time to meet reality

When the House of Representatives takes up arms against $4 gas by voting 324-to-84 to sue OPEC, you know that election-year discourse has gone surreal. Another unmistakable sign is when a presidential candidate makes a gaffe, then, realizing it is too egregious to take back without suffering humiliation, decides to make it a centerpiece of his foreign policy.

Before the Democratic debate of July 23, Barack Obama had never expounded upon the wisdom of meeting, without precondition, with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Bashar Assad, Hugo Chavez, Kim Jong Il or the Castro brothers. But in that debate, he was asked about doing exactly that. Unprepared, he said sure – then got fancy, declaring the Bush administration’s refusal to do so not just “ridiculous” but “a disgrace.”

~Memorial Day~

Flags today in tribute wave
For those loyal ones who gave
Of their youth, their hopes, their might
For a cause they knew was right.

Morning bells sound their call,
Pause and say a prayer for all–
All who served valiantly
That men might be ever free.

Toll of bells, drums’ slow beat–
Silence falls in every street.
In each heart swells the plea:
Keep us safe, but keep us free!

Hardline with Kevin Hardwick

I will be in studio with Kevin from 10:30 till 11 AM but first up will be Lee Bordeleau, he will discuss his plans to file a lawsuit concerning the improper expenditure of funds in the new state budget. He believes that the budget violates the constitutional ban on gifts to private corporations. Of course I will be discussing the tolls and the Bill in the Senate and Assembly to take the control of the 190 from the thruway authority and turn it over to the NYSDOT.

Drill, Coast Haste!

the-no-drill-oil-zone.jpg

Soon, we will have Cuban gas wells off the coast of Florida while we continue to prohibit American gas producers from doing so. Russia will extend its control of Arctic fields while Alaskan oil production continues to decline. And the Democrats will achieve their goal of destroying the economic sovereignty of the United States. Just ask Maxine Waters.

Well, we could drill our own oil, just off the shores of Texas, Florida, California or the eastern coast ….

or, we could wait and simply buy the oil from China, Venezuela, Mexico, Cuba and Russia who are drilling off the same shores, just 12 or more miles off the shore in international waters. Because, as everyone knows the cause of all the world’s pollution is the USA, every other country is far more ecologically conscious than the evil Americans.

Drill, Coast Haste

Energy Security: With the prospect of an oil shortage and $12 gas, the energy crisis is turning into a national emergency. One solution: Give states the option to develop offshore tracts.

Uncle Sam bans states from drilling in the Atlantic, Pacific and eastern Gulf mainly to protect the environment. Some 85% of the U.S. coastline is off-limits to energy production – including huge reserves off Florida’s coast, which China is exploiting in Cuban waters.

Have We Got a Deal for You

taxpayers-get-plowed.jpg

Please, tell me again just WHO controls the legislature in Albany? The sooner we realize that the unions in this state dictate almost everything, support the candidates that will do their bidding for them and actively work against reform minded candidates.

The unions supply printing, mailings, foot soldiers, mega bucks and taxpayer funded employees work on campaigns while supposedly doing their “created phantom positions” just so the can do the work of the unions. All this while we pay them.

When the hell are we going to wake up New York? Or is it already to late as we swim in debt and are witnessing the ticking time bomb of the pension system.

Editorial – Have We Got a Deal for You – Editorial – NYTimes.com

Just when it appears that the New York State Legislature has hit bottom, we find a false floor. The Times’s Danny Hakim recently uncovered another appalling example of how a politically powerful group can order up laws in Albany, even skewing the estimates of how much it will cost taxpayers.

In this case, New York City’s municipal unions drafted a bill this year offering thousands of city workers early retirement. The unions, which use their membership rolls and contributions to keep their friends in office, had no trouble getting sponsors from both parties. Even better, the unions’ bill stated in the required “fiscal note” that it would cost taxpayers zero dollars for early pension payouts.

That assertion — that the bill was a legislative freebee — came from Jonathan Schwartz, a veteran actuary well known in Albany. What also should have been known is that Mr. Schwartz was skewing the data in favor of the payers of his fee: the unions. When asked about his estimating methods, Mr. Schwartz told The Times that his job is “a step above voodoo.”

New York City officials would certainly agree since they estimate the bill’s cost at $200 million a year.

Iranians Would Welcome Airstrikes, Sources Say

ahmadinejad.jpg

The Anti mullahs have been asking and in some case begging for help over throwing the oppressive regime run by the nut case Ahmadinejad. They are screaming for help now.

“U.S. airstrikes must be powerful and sustained enough to break the myth of the regime’s absolute power and reveal the weakness of the leadership,” a former official who traveled outside of Iran recently said.

His Imperial Highness Reza Pahlavi has issued a strong declaration (too early to have an English translation) addressed to Iran’s Ali Khamenei (current Supreme Ruler) stating that Khamenei and his Mullahs are going to be responsible for anything bad that happens to the people of Iran.

This is the most strongly worded condemnation and criticism of the Mullah Regime he has so given specially in recent times and also insists that all responsibility for Islamic Iran’s misery can only be blamed on the Mullahs themselves and not on any foreign countries or forces.

The implication of his attack on the Mullahs is not a matter of venting but a warning that something is about to happen. Something for which the monarchy wants to have no blame aimed at it.

At the same time a nationwide “unofficial” martial law has been declared inside Islamic Iran.

The Mullahs have declared that the Bassiji Suppression forces will be conducting 24/7 patrols in every city inside Islamic Iran. Curfews have not been officially announced but can you imagine if every time you are out in the streets at night one of the ruthless Bassiji patrols stops and questions you, how quickly your desire to be out and about will disappear?

Meanwhile the Mullahs are using their Dhimmis in the Media to try to find out when, what, where, and how the USA or Western coalition will atack to stop them building nuclear weapons.

Chinese earthquakes, Burmese Typhoons and floods, Californian Fires, South African Immigration riots, increasingly larger food shortages around the world, USA elections and high oil/gas prices have knocked Middle East news, including successes in Iraq off the front pages but not from under the surface of the Roiling Waters.

BTW, Hezbollah and Jihadists are using FOOD as leverage to recruit and win followers. Did you ever think that so simple a thing would float to the top? We give away shiploads of food as aid for free. They then distribute it as a grace and favor perk to their followers and their families through mosques and political office locations.

Willl we ever wake up to reality and deal with it?

Newsmax.com – Iranians Would Welcome Airstrikes, Sources Say

As Barack Obama and John McCain thrash it out over how they would deal with Iran, voices from inside Iran are weighing in with an unusual message: If the United States strikes hard and fast, we will support you.

Emissaries from inside Iran have been meeting with Iranian exiles in Europe, the United States, and elsewhere in recent weeks to deliver this provocative message, which they claim comes from pro-U.S. dissidents at the upper-most levels of the regime.

A New Détente Shakes Albany – Paterson-Bruno

bruno-paterson.jpg

Lookie here, Governor Paterson wanting to cut into the budget is reaching out to the Republican controlled Senate. Apparently he sees what we have been seeing for years, the Democratically controlled Assembly does exactly the opposite and being controlled by the unions, cannot cut the budget but expand it every single year usually at twice the rate of inflation. Working with the Republican Senate Paterson sees that they will cut and stop the incredible rate of growth. Whouldathunkit…. : )

“If I get the cooperation I’m seeking from Bruno and the Senate majority, and they help me cut into this budget, I will have to honestly state to the public, knowing it will help them politically, that they did what I asked them to do.”

As far as I’m concerned the Governor should not be actively campaigning for anyone, look what it did to the atmosphere in Albany when Spitzer stormed around ordering every Democrat that walked and talked to get out there and defeat Republicans. That is not the job of a governor, his job is to work with both sides to represent the people of this state.

Of the Democrats’ efforts to gain control of the Senate, Mr. Paterson said: “Obviously, I’m the former leader of the Senate Democrats and wish them well.”
———-
In doing so, Mr. Paterson has changed the tone in the capital from one of combat and animosity to one that is joshing and affectionate, a marked shift from Mr. Spitzer’s rough-and-tumble approach in trying to overhaul one of the nation’s most reform-resistant statehouses.

and that my friends is exactly what we need in Albany. Of course we know Sheldon Silver will not like this at all, and neither will alot of the Democrats in the reform-resistant Assembly.

A New Détente Shakes Albany – Paterson-Bruno

ALBANY — The other day, the state’s top Republican, Joseph L. Bruno, stepped out of a meeting to take a phone call.

“Governor Bruno?” the voice on the other end said.

“Who’s this?” Mr. Bruno asked, momentarily disoriented.

“It’s David!” said the real governor, David A. Paterson, who was in Washington. “You are the governor!”

Bill Cosby Is A Wise Man!

Article from Wall Street Journal:

Rev. Wright epitomizes the thoughts and actions that have prevented and continue to prevent black America from moving ahead and achieving their potential as a people. He suggests that this United States of America made up of sons and daughters of immigrants (I’m talking of the millions of 1st, 2nd, 3rd generation immigrants in this country) of every race, creed, color and religion each and everyone of them who had nothing to do with slavery, some how owe something to a group of people who have never been slaves? Its amazing. It seems everyone is to blame for the shambles black society is in with its violence, drugs, high school drop out rates, misogyny, and a host of other real and virulent problems, except for the very people who engage in such behavior.

Enough.

Hung From Their Own Rope

presidental-stooges.JPG

I cannot recall a single occasion in all my years of voting where the field is so bereft of principle.

If McCain beats Obama, I do predict riots in many cities, all over the country. If McCain beats Hillary, there won’t be a rebellion nor will there be riots, but be prepared for the dems in congress investigating EVERYTHING in McCain’s past, present, and future, with a bevy of special persecutors. If Hillary beats McCain, be prepared for a level of graft and corruption, as well as political “getting even” of the likes we’ve never seen. Hillary will want what’s hers, and she’s going to get even with everyone who crossed her. If Obama wins, I predict a swift end to the Republic as we know it.
No matter what, 2009 is going to be one helluva year.

Hung From Their Own Rope

If the Right is apathetic, the Left is apoplectic. I’ve been ruminating on the implications for the country whether Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton get the nomination.

To me, Hillary Clinton is the harder candidate to beat in the general election. She is perceived as more centrist and has done a pretty good job casting herself as the working man’s candidate. She is tough, competitive and hangs in there. This tenacity has impressed many people. Aside from her weeping episodes which came off as manipulative, she has been doggedly determined and come across as tough. She craves power and it’s both terrifying and respect-inducing to behold.

New York's New Mafia

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

cash-hard-cold-cash.jpg

This actually sounds like all politicians not just corrupt lawyers. The system is designed to protect them and the unions. To hell with the education which is failing and to hell with the children. Even though they always use the children as the number one excuse why budgets and taxes continue to increase every single year beyond the inflation rate.

Suffolk Life Newspapers – New York’s New Mafia

Mafia is the name for organized crime. When we hear it, we all think of a lot of old desperadoes, sitting around a card table, figuring out how to rob, steal and con.

The new Mafia consists of licensed attorneys at law, who have figured out how to steal from the people who pay school taxes from Niagara to Montauk. Although these attorneys work part-time as consultants to school boards, they have had themselves classed as full-time employees who are now eligible for New York State pensions.
