To me this poll shows just how sick this state has gotten. Never ever do they look inward to cut streamline or give up anything…. Hmmmmm,,,, sounds like the unions that control our politicians and treat them like puppets.

Now what are we hearing on radio, the unions pushing this very idea, so this makes me wonder. Who paid for this poll? What real demographic was polled, did these calls all go to union job holders?

It’s time to move…. I’ve about had it.

NY VOTERS BACK ‘RICH’ TAX - New York Post

March 25, 2008 — ALBANY - Tax the rich! That was the word yesterday from an overwhelming 72 percent of New York voters, including 60 percent of Republicans, who say they favor a Democratic plan to raise the personal income tax on millionaires.

A new Siena College poll found support for the proposal by Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, which would add an extra 1 percentage point to the income taxes of those making more than $1 million annually, and raise some $1.5 billion a year.

The proposal received surprisingly strong support in the affluent New York City suburbs, where 75 percent of voters backed the plan, compared with 68 percent of city voters.

Senate Republicans have vowed to block the Democratic plan and newly inaugurated Gov. Paterson has said he plans to avoid any tax increases in the new state budget due next week.

The poll, done before his affairs were made public, found 58 percent of voters view Gov. Paterson favorably.
