Since AZ and TX have started enforcing their tough new laws it has already caused many illegals to cross over the state lines into NM, but with this insanity, the Feds have just opened the door to every terrorist, and gang member from around the world and told them to enter into the US through the unprotected border into NM. Not only that, but they told them when to come. One of these days there’s going to be an American Beslan like what happened in Russia, and hundreds of American kids could die.
Why can’t our elected officials understand that those people want to kill us? They have proven that they will kill innocent little children, and I don’t want to see that happen here. The state said there will be a six month gap of vulnerability at the border when feds pull National Guard troops.
Sate homeland security said the National Guard on the border will leave in July, six months earlier than expected. Officials said border agents won’t take over until December at the earliest, leaving more than 180 miles of border virtually unwatched.
The original plan was to have the National Guard watch the border until 6,000 new agents could be properly trained.
Border patrol officials said that won’t happen until December, but state officials said that’s not stopping the feds from pulling the plug early.
State officials said the feds are not saying what’s behind the early withdrawal of guard troops from across the country.
The state said the withdrawal leaves the New Mexico border vulnerable.
“We’ll create a window where the smugglers and the cartels and the border criminals may try and take advantage of,” said Tim Manning of New Mexico Homeland Security.
Homeland security said heavy patrols and new fencing in Arizona and Texas means there will be a funneling effect of immigrants and smugglers into New Mexico.

I lived in the desert southwest for 8 years, I have seen and felt the effect of how they impact the economy.
#1 they work for less wages than citizens do because they are illegal.
#2 the construction industry was taken over by them and put many, many of us out of work.
#3 What needs to be done on a nation wide level is exactly what is going on in Arizona and Oklahoma. Make it illegal to hire illegals, go after the employers. Since those bills were passed, thousands of illegals have left the area. Maybe they are coming here to take your job.
Have no fear Mike, the federal government has no desire to do anything about the illegals here in the country. All the presidential candidates are all for amnesty and open borders.
It doesn’t matter that over 75% of the American people are against it, they will do it anyway.
Oh, BTW, hundreds of Muslim extremists have been caught coming across the Mexican border. All they have done here is give them the area and the time for when they can enter.
The plans in D.C. is well under way to create the open market between Mexico and Canada. The roads are already being built in Texas for the super highway and the plan to remove the borders completely is under way.

The confirmation comes from National Intelligence Director Mike McConnell, who talked about the situation in an interview with the El Paso Times recently.
“Coming up through the Mexican border is a path,” McConnell said. “Now, are they doing it in great numbers? No, because we’re finding them and we’re identifying them and we’ve got watch lists and we’re keeping them at bay.”
But, he said, “There are numerous situations where people are alive today because we caught them (terrorists).”
Intelligence officials say the numbers and details of such situations are classified, but McConnell pointed as an example to Mahmoud Youssef Kourani, who entered the United States through Tijuana, Mexico, in 2001, and later pleaded guilty to helping raise money for Hezbollah, which has been designated by the U.S. government as a terrorist organization.
McConnell’s office did reveal some numbers, during fiscal 2006, there were 14 Iraqi nationals caught trying to enter the U.S. illegally, while so far in 2007, that number is 16.
“Now some we caught, some we didn’t,” McConnell told the newspaper. “The ones that get in – what are they going to do? They’re going to write home. So it’s not rocket science; word will move around.”
Also revealed was that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection intercepted 60 Iraqis crossing the nation’s southwestern border in 2006 who were seeking asylum in the U.S., while that number so far in 2007 is 178.

And frankly, I dont believe anything this administration says about Iraqi terrorists - Does anyone remember the imminent threat posed by Saddam and his weapons of mass destruction? All of these articles are about the same press conference given by a Bush aid hyping the terrorist threat. If this is such a big deal, why arent we at threat level Orange, or whatever.
