Seems like Obama has a real issue with things pertaining to this country that he wants to be President of. Just when I’m starting to like the guy something like this pops up to bite him. And they have no problem with it? I do.
Democrat Presidential candidate Barack Obama already has an issue with wearing American Flag lapel pins, and even with putting his hand over his heart when the American National Anthem is playing. It will be interesting to see how he’ll react (if at all) to the flag hanging in one of his new campaign offices in Houston, Texas.
Yep, that’s right — that is the national flag of Cuba hanging on the wall with none other than Che Guevara superimposed on it.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackLet me get this straight, Mr. Obama must personally monitor what each and every local campaign office decides to hang on its walls?!?!
I think this author is grasping at straws here.
I’m sure if you visit every one of McCain’s southern campaign offices, you might find a confederate flag or two.
Che Guevara, as a symbol, is everything this country despises…
He proclaimed the destruction of America… To have Mrudere Guevara’s supporter supporting Obama… wow…
A person is known by the company he keeps!
George Bush walks hand in hand with the King of Saudi Arabia, the country that housed 15 out of 19 hijackers on 9/11, but we should be more worried about what flag Barack Obama Houston campaign office hangs on the wall.
And what proof is there that it is even his office? The shot is from a Fox News affiliate and we all know how “fair and balanced” they are…
You said it… those hijackers… not the King…
Che Guevara wanted, proclaimed, and indeed, tried to destroy America…
I don’t see the parallelism you want to establish… Your premises do not amount to your conclusion!
Also, it’s not a planted news… Even the Obama campaign has tried to distance from this office in Houston… but, if you do a search among the blogs in the www.barackobama.com… you will find lots of Che Guevara pictures among these bloggers-supporters…
Again, a man is know by the company he keeps… but leftists are known to hide true intentions until they grab power… see Castro, Chavez, Ortega…. and all those criminal Che-loving dictators say one thing and do quite the opposite once “power is secured”…
A good slogan for this campaign maybe very well be:
Obama-Che 08
A dream you can believe in (until you wake up)!
Obama is a desgraciado communist and Mike is another loser full of envy dumb a**hole communist.
No friking black communist is going to take over this free country to make Castro’s dream come true.
Screw Mike and screw Obama!
Official Obama Response:
“This is a volunteer office that is not in any way controlled by the Obama campaign. We were disappointed to see this picture because it is both offensive to many Cuban-Americans — and Americans of all backgrounds — and because it does not reflect Senator Obama’s views. Barack Obama has been very clear in putting forward a Cuba policy that is based on one principle: freedom for the Cuban people.”

Obama is another Chavez, but this one speaks inglish!
Beware!!! Do not be fool!
“…because it does not reflect Senator Obama’s views. Barack Obama has been very clear in putting forward a Cuba policy that is based on one principle: freedom for the Cuban people.”
Interesting…. it is the same thing that Che Guevara said more tha 40 years ago…
How? Where’s the condemnation? Where are these people now? Why can’t he condem Che Guevara clearly? Who is he afraid of offending? His rabid extreme-left supporters?
He’ll have a hard time convincing middle America that he’s not connected to Che Guevara… and everything he stood/stands for…
This is not going away… it will haunt his campaign… he’s got to say someting himself… not through spokepersons!
My vote was in the bag for Obama - he stands for everything I desired and believed in, until this flag incident and specially the way he handled it. Every educated person knows the Che/Castro connection and the millions of folks enslaved by such a false ideology.
Hey, Ralph, since you seem to know. What is it that Obama stands for? Because he hasn’t actually said it. It seems that you’ve had a personal conversation with him since none of his speeches have actually said anything of actual substance/agendas. I mean change is a nice word and I do change my clothes everyday, which is generally regarded as a good thing, but in actuality, saying the word and nothing else is, well, nothing.
Interesting comments. You know who loved and still loves Che? The PEOPLE of Cuba. Seems to me if he was such a bad guy, he wouldnt be admired 40 years after his death.
Wrong, Mike!
You are obviously not Cuban… Cuba is the place where he’s hated the most!
Do you ever see any Cuban wearing a Che Guevara t-shirt?
In hte island, some of the do… to show allegiance to a system they despise… Yet, I believe you don’t understand what it is to live a life faking to be who you are not…
Today I participated in an antiAmerica demonstration (organized by the Communist Youth Org.) and tomorrow I am on a boat/raft to the US… (my lucky day or my once in a life time opportunity)
Walk in Cuban shoes before you make such ignorant statements!
Your ignorant anti communist rhetoric reminds me of those Newsreel shorts they used to play in the movie theatres in the 1950’s
The people sent over in rafts are prisoners that Castro let out of jail and said start paddeling. Cubans that i talked to while in Cuba had great admiration for Che. And while i saw no t-shirts, i did see hats with his picture on it.
The Cubans in Miami that hate Castro and Che are the same corrupt leaders that Castro and Che revolted against. Of course they dont like him. But the people love him.
And by the way, the rest of the world has gotten over Cuba’s communist revolution that happened 50 years ago and consider it a tourist destination, while ‘dubya’s administration is limiting travel there. At some point we need to move on and realize that all the communist rhetoric we have been exposed to was in response to the Soviet Union. If their system of government was a monarchy, we would all be brainwashed into hating monarchys, but instead we are brainwashed into hating communism.
W’s administration? His is the only one right Mike? Hate to clue you in but this goes back over 50 years through democrat and republican administrations. Hillary is not running against W, he is out, get over it.
Sounds like you really like communism, why don’t you move there and take advantage of their wonderful lifestyle if it’s so good and this country is so bad.
Oh Rus…I did not say i really like communism. I said our government may have overstated the negatives because we were at war with a communist nation. Where in my statements do i make ANY value judgment about the United States being bad? Typical strawman argument. Beat up the communist loving america hateing strawman instead of actually reading what i said.
And Dubya’s administration has restricted travel more than any administration in the last 25 years. Obviously travel to Cuba was more restrictive in the 60’s, and that was under Democratic administrations, but i was referring to recent events. Is Cuba a threat to our country? I highly doubt it. Is the threat of communism so great that we must ban students from traveling there? According to dubya, it is…
Mike, how does terrorism and the confederate flag equate? Do you even own a history book? Your ignorance is very typical for a leftist.
It’s interesting to note that just because you made a swing through Cuba and chatted w/ some locals who don’t know you from Adam and you think they are just going to tell you what they really think. Did you learn all this from your Veradero beach resort? You so clearly have no idea what it is to live under the Castro regime and why so many have fled. So please keep sporting your Che t-shirt in a free country where you can.
