No silly, not that Limbaugh, his cousin… Question is, will they prevent Limbaugh from being seated on the court because he is related to Limbaugh, or will Limbaugh be judged by his own judicial merits?

Bush Picks LIMBAUGH to Federal COURT

WASHINGTON — President George W. Bush this afternoon nominated Missouri Supreme Court Justice Stephen N. Limbaugh Jr. to be a U.S. District Court judge in Missouri’s Eastern District.

Limbaugh’s father, Stephen N. Limbaugh, is a senior U.S. District Court judge in the district.

The junior Limbaugh, 55, of Cape Girardeau, has been on Missouri’s Supreme Court since he was appointed by then-Gov. John Ashcroft in 1992. He was chief justice from 2001-2003. He received his law degree from southern Methodist University and then a graduate degree in judicial process from the University of Virginia School of Law.

He would replace Judge Donald J. Stohr, who retired.
