FYI… At least some one is taking a stand.

Conservatives Call on Legislators to Keep Us Safe

Ft. Hamilton Station, NY — “Legislators are returning to Albany on Monday and it is their responsibility to keep us safe,” said State Chairman Michael R. Long, today. “The Conservative Party is urging every Legislative member to strengthen New York’s stance against illegal aliens obtaining government-sanctioned identification,” Long stated that the following letter has been sent to every member of the Legislature:

Dear Legislator:

New York is currently at a standstill. The legislative session that ended in June made some headway on issues, but many items of concern must still be addressed.

First and foremost is the Governor’s directive to issue driver’s licenses to illegal aliens.

By the very fact that they are illegal, coming into our country in the dead of night and without permission, indicates that there is no regard for our laws.

A driver’s license is a very powerful identification tool that can and will be used to obtain other government benefits and every effort must be made to insure that they are not issued to illegal aliens. New York state residents, by an overwhelming majority, are against this proposal. As elected officials, you took an oath of office to uphold the US Constitution and NYS Constitution and the laws incorporated in both. We are a nation and state based on laws, and when one comes into our country illegally, they must NOT be rewarded with a government-sanctioned identification that opens many doors for them.

We urge you to strengthen New York’s stance against illegal aliens obtaining government-sanctioned identification.

Sincerely,

Michael R. Long
State Chairman
