38 vs 28 for Chris Collins… Excellent news. Now watch how nasty Keane gets. He is getting desperate. Ask Keane exactly what he is going to do and make him respond.
People are seeing right through Keane and see that Collins is a man of action. This guy has created jobs in the private sector where we need them. Keane has experience creating government jobs at taxpayer expense.
Collins has my full support and my vote.
I’ll review the rest of the results later.
News - New Poll: Collins Leads in Race for Erie County Executive
An exclusive 2 On Your Side/Buffalo News poll shows Republican Chris Collins has the lead over Jim Keane in the race for Erie County Executive. But, with the large number of “undecided” voters out there, it’s still a close race.
The poll was conducted for 2 On Your Side and the Buffalo News by Zogby International. It surveyed 400 residents on October 8 and 9, 2007.

When asked who they would vote for, 37.6% responded they’d vote for Chris Collins, while 29.3% said Jim Keane. But a whopping 28.4% said they were undecided. Paul Clark, who dropped out of the race and endorsed Jim Keane last week, will still appear on the Independence line on Election Day, and therefore was included in the poll. He received 4.7% in the poll.
The poll also asked voters how Clark dropping out of the race and endorsing Keane affected how people intend to vote. 56% of the respondents said it did not change their vote. 20% said they would now vote for Collins, and 16% said they would not vote for Keane.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThe debate that aired on 10/18/07 on PBS was quite the spectacle. It certainly reaffirms the statement made above about the viciousness of the attack by Keane directed at Collins. When asked what he would do about ECC (consolidation vs repair), the first words spoken by Keane were ” He stood by Joel Giambra….”
Was that an answer to the question? Unfortunately, he has promised everything to everyone without any ” Business Background” at all, which should sound a warning bell to anyone’s ears.
I hope Collins not only wins, but wins by a landslide.
I get the impression that Keane believes that he is entitled to this job and is insulted and shocked that this has become a race. The desperate attempt Keane and Lenny Lenihan have made to try to link Collins to President Bush and Joel Giambra is an interesting play, what a joke!
As interesting is how Keane has attempted to ride Hillary Clintons coat tails. I find it interesting that every time he opens his mouth he is talking about some one elses accomplishments, like Mrs. Bill Clinton, what has Jim Keane done on his own that makes him qulaified for this job?
Nothing… Where is Gorski and why hasn’t he endorsed this hack? Makes you wonder.
