Really? Here is Atta’s license from Florida… I could go into a long list of reasons why illegals should not have licenses but I only have to say one word. Seeing that you were once the top law enforcement officer in the state of New York, I figure you would have known better.
Are we trying to build up the population so we don’t lose another congressional seat? More federal money for welfare programs? Or is it just the voter base? Just curious…
Spitzer: GOPers are wrong to equate immigrants, terrorists
Gov. Spitzer yesterday accused Republican leaders of being “completely out of touch with reality” by suggesting terrorists will be able to get New York drivers licenses under a policy to make them available to illegal immigrants.
“Rather than make an argument based on substance, the Republicans are using the rhetoric of desperation, taking advantage of the memory of 9/11 to push their anti-immigrant agenda,” Spitzer told reporters in Manhattan.
Spitzer called it “horrendous” that Assembly GOP leader Jim Tedisco R-Schenectady and state Senate GOP leader Joe Bruno R-Rensselaer have argued his policy would please Osama Bin Laden and the other monsters responsible for 9/11.
“Among the group, though — 13 clerks, including Rensselaer County Clerk Frank Merola and Saratoga County Clerk Kathleen Marchione, who say they will not process license applications for anyone who cannot prove they are a legal New York resident.”
I lived in Rensselaer County, I can say with the quote above from an article Today we have one of the great thirteen County Clerks, in Frank Merola.
Kinda reminds me of the 13 original colonies.
