Bruno would get perturbed at anything anyone would say about reform. He and Silver have been to comfortable for all to many years. Spitzers ability to force any of this with these two in control is another story altogether.

Mandate This

Following up on his earlier statement about campaign finance reform, Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno was noticably perturbed by Gov. Spitzer’s response, which included a reminder of his electoral mandate.

Bruno said the Senate GOP majority is “90 percent in agreement” with Spitzer, and that the right thing to do now is compromise.
