How sick are we in this county and state… We knew he would move on to a more lucrative position, I’m not that niave.. A lobbyist?? E Gads don’t we have enough of them. Maisello joins up with Calabrese to lobby Albany, who’s next, I can only wonder. But of course Tocash was the leader from WNY and know best the working mind of Sheldon Silver, or does he.
He knows the ropes, he knows all the rules, regulations, restrictions and the inner workings of how Albany screws the businesses and the taxpayers. He has yet to properly represent WNY so why would we expect him to do anything else. Once in corrupt government always in corrupt government… this crap sickens me.
After Assembly, Tokasz becomes lobbyist
Former state Assemblyman Paul Tokasz has found work as a lobbyist with Patricia Lynch Associates Inc., one of Albany’s most influential firms.
PLA is based in Albany and is the number two government relations firm in New York state with 2005 compensation of $4.2 million. The founder is a former press aide to Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver. Gee, isn’t that a coincidence…
Tokasz, who will become a partner, will work out of a new office in Buffalo. He is negotiating for office space at the Larkin at Exchange Building in Buffalo.
When he announced his decision to leave state government after 18 years representing the 143 district, Tokasz, of Cheektowaga, expressed a desire to work closer to home.
PLA said Tokasz will be responsible for “capitalizing on his relationships with national government leaders and members of state legislatures across the country to grow the firm’s business. He will be responsible for serving existing clients and adding new clients.”
Under New York law, Tokasz is not allowed to lobby the Legislature for two years but can have interaction with the governor’s office and state agencies.
