I grabbed these from Cindy Locklears blog, scanned them and posted the relevant parts here. I am looking for the amendments that the Democrat majority passed and do a comparison.

This of course did not see the light of day and died in committee as the Republicans ideas always do. Yet they are always accused as having no ideas atall. We need to shed some light on the situation and really see who is for reforming and restructuring county government.

ADD THE FOLLOWING AS NEW BUDGET RESOLUTION #69:

RESOLVED, that due to fiscal problems impacting Erie County, there shall be no salary increases granted specifically through the budget adoption process. This clause shall not affect incremental eaned step increases in pay, or those who are entitled pay increases by contract,

ADD THE FOLLOWING AS NEW BUDGET RESOLUTION #70:

RESOLVED, that all persons being hired to perfom work on behalf of the County of Erie as a consultant working on a contractural basis should he approved by the Legislature.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all cotracts being entered into by the County of Erie must first be approved by the Legislature

ADD THE FOLLOWING AS NEW BUDGET RESOLUTION #71:

RESOLVED, that all proposed positions and newly hired employees must first be approved by the Legislature, regardless of whether or not they are included in an adopted budget.

ADD THE FOLLOWING AS NEW BUDGET RESOLUTION #72:

RESOLVED. that the $1,000,000 increase in the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System’s. funding be dedicated to the purchase of books and educational materials necessary to cart out their mission

ADD THE FOLLOWING AS NEW BUDGET RESOLUTION #73
RESOLVED, that the Budget Director is hereby directed to incorporate all the above year 2U07 Budget Resolutions and sequentially number all 2007 Adopted Budget Resolutions.

Specifically, this plan…

Eliminates the 3/4% addition to the sales tax in December 2007
Eliminates any increases in the property tax levy
Eliminates most proposed new positions
Eliminates salary & pay rate increases
Requires that all consultants are approved by the Legislature
Requires that all contracts are approved by the Legislature
Determines that a downtown central campus for Erie Community
College is unnecessary and cuts $15,000,000 of its dedicated funding
Reduces other capital project spending by $3,500,000
Reduces the local share of Medicaid by $io,ooo,ooo
Reduces overtime costs by $1,687,480
Cuts local mileage reimbursement by $ioo,ooo
Strengthens the security of our jails, and puts more sheriffs on the street in 21 new road patrol vehicles.
Adds addition probation officers
Restores $500,000 in funding to the local tourism industry
Adds support resources to the District Attorneys office
Dedicates $1,000,000 in addition funding to the Buffalo & Erie
County Public Library System for the purchase of books and
educations materials
