New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms (NYCF) will be conducting a Meet the Candidates Night Forum on Monday, September 25, 2006, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Bible Presbyterian Church will host the meeting at their Family Life Center, 1780 Love Road, Grand Island, NY. I am writing to invite you to join the other candidates for this event.
After a brief introduction of each candidate, attendees will have the opportunity to ask the candidates questions. They will submit their written questions to the moderator, who will field the questions to the candidates. Each Candidate will be given the opportunity to answer the questions. At approximately 8:15 PM, I will give a brief challenge from God’s Word, followed by a time of informal fellowship and refreshments.
I have invited all candidates listed by the Board of Elections for the following offices.
US House of Representatives Districts 26 Tom Reynolds vs Jack Davis & 28 Louise slaughter vs John Donnelly
New York State Senate Districts 60 Antionne Thompson & 61 Mary Lou Rath
New York State Assembly Districts 138, DelMonte 140 Schimminger & 144 Thompson vs Hoyt
I am promoting this event through the Freedom ‘s Alert newspaper, New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms’ e-mail network, and local radio stations. The host church has invited other local churches to join in the event. We need you there to make the evening complete. Please stay for the entire evening, if possible. You are welcome to bring campaign literature, yard signs, etc.
Since NYCF is sponsoring over 15 Candidates Nights, you may receive an invitation to another Candidates Night in your area. Each will follow the same format, but will involve different churches and people.
The Christian Voice In Albany

The Christian Voice an Albany? Christians or any religious denomination should have no voice in Albany.
The free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without discrimination or PREFERENCE, shall forever be allowed in this state to all mankind..
NY State Constitution Art. 1 Sec. 3.
Except that… NYS government does discriminate
against Christians. That Christians or any religious denomination should
have no voice in Albany is about the most arrogant statement I’ve
ever read.
Hint: Your statement violates our state constitution.
Why sould any religion have any preference in any state house?
“NYS government does discriminate against Christians.”
GIVE ME A BREAK!! and not a tax break that Christian churches enjoy, but a break from your Bill O’Reillyesque BS. How does NYS discriminate against Christians…if anything we illegally endorse Christianity by declaring a state holiday on Christmas which is a religious holiday.
What influence do you think you should have? forced prayer in schools? mandetory cross wearing? making child molestation by priests legal? what do you want that you dont already have?
I don’t codone any of those ridiculous things you mentioned.
Taking a God-ordained institution and forcing people of faith
to extend it to those outside the faith is really…bizarre by some
standards. Violating the NYS Constitution to enable gambling
casinos to flourish is another form of dicrimination.
I could go on, but I can see this is going nowhere.
Illegally endorsing Christianity? We don’t need the government
giving us permission to practice our faith. Btw, I never heard
you complain about all the other paid holdays you enjoy at
our expense.
Well we know exactly where you stand.
Liberal agenda, gay agenda, antiGod is the only voice in Albany.
Nice, real nice.
See ya Pal.
You really think there is an invisible man who lives in the sky who watches your every move and will damn you to eternal suffering if you disobey him because he loves you. Irrationality…i know where you stand.
In reality, it’s irrational and unscientific to summize that we all came
from cosmic soup. That somehow, someway, out of rocks, ice, nuclear gases and a vacuum, sprang life. Scripture talks of God revealing it to
us, and though all nature sings, there are those who can’t see it. He
says they become vain in their imaginations, they profess themselves
to be wise and become fools, and they are without excuse.
My concern is your perception is that He’s an outsider looking in, with
an iron fist, no less. His intent is to guide and protect, and on a very personal level, use us to bring about his will, and fulfill His promises to
us and to humanity. And just because we believe on Christ doesn’t
mean we are without sin. I’m a sinner, just like you! But through an ongoing process of confession and forgiveness, we grow into a deeper relationship with Him. What you may consider subjection, and even Paul called bondage, is in reality, the most profoundly liberating experience.
But I think you’re on the right track, Adam. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
