I think this control board has been very generous with the county executive, reminds me of the Buffalo control board when they sent the cities budget back to the mayor over and over. When the mayor finally gave one that was acceptable it passed.

The city is getting back on track financially, the county is not and will not until Giambra and the county legislature start to make fiscally responsible decisions. I have a feeling this won’t come about until the control board becomes hard.

The legislature and county executive refuse to make the cuts it has to. They continue to turn their backs on the taxpayers and continue to create government jobs and take their marching orders from Democrat hdqtrs,

A friend of mine said it best a handfull of years ago.
When you enter the legislative chambers, leave your Party affiliations at the door. Until our politicians can do that, we will stay stagnant of continue our downhill slide.

Erie County Control Board Rejects Giambra’s Current Four-Year Plan
Erie County’s control board has rejected Joel Giambra’s four-year budget plan.

The Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority wants Giambra and county lawmakers to revise a four-year budget plan that was submitted earlier.

That plan contained assumptions about the use of sales tax revenue that currently goes to school districts.

The board is giving Giambra and lawmakers about six weeks to make changes.

A hard control board could result if the plan is not acceptable.
