Proposed Law Would Help Police Spot Sex Offenders Easier

Republican Assembly Leader Jim Tedisco is proposing a law that would make it easier for police in New York to spot sex offenders.

The bill would allow officers to see if a suspect is a registered sex offender when they run a license plate check.

Right now, the checks only provide information about outstanding warrants.

Tedisco says the new tool would be useful for police when dealing with motorists who are behaving suspiciously around a school or park.

This Law would certainly make life easier for all concerned.
