Each claims to be a reformer
Spitzer, the unanimous choice of party leaders, says he’ll take on state government with the same zeal and fearlessness he displayed in prosecuting investment fraud.

But Suozzi, who forced the primary by collecting thousands of signatures from registered Democrats around the state, says he’s the only one with executive experience, turning what Syracuse University’s Maxwell School called the nation’s worst-run county into one of the best.

“He’s a prosecutor,” Suozzi said of Spitzer. “I’m a chief executive. He’s a reformer of Wall Street. I’m a reformer of government, and there’s a big, big difference because you have to fight the people you also look to for support.”

He says Spitzer’s support and campaign money from Albany lobbyists, trial lawyers, big unions and others will prevent him from solving the state’s problems.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a decent choice for governor. If we had Suozzi and Faso then we would. I refuse to believe Spitzer will work to reform anything. How can he when he is supported by the very orginizations that need to be reformed.
