CALLAGHAN USES HEVESI’S NEW HOTLINE
Christopher Callaghan, Republican and Conservative candidate for NYS Comptroller, was one of the first to use a hotline announced yesterday by his opponent, incumbent Comptroller, Alan G. Hevesi. The hotline is for citizens.
reporting of fraud, waste, and abuse.
“I called to report the waste of $10,000 in taxpayers’ money. I’m at
the State Fair and I was shocked to find out that the State’s official
watchdog of the taxpayers’ money was hosting a luncheon, at taxpayer’s
expense, for 300 politicians. If there is a benefit to the people of
the State of New York in that expenditure, I’m missing it,” Callaghan
said.
Callaghan said that he expected the hotline to work very well “since
it’s been three and two-thirds years in the planning.”
“Some elected officials rush right into making improvements in their
offices but Mr. Hevesi prefers careful planning and preparation. I’m
sure it’s a coincidence that so many of his innovations have come to
fruition in his election year,” Callaghan observed.
We should all call and report Spitzer, he has wasted more tax dollars on cases he couldn’t win and has refused to go after the corruption in Albany..
