The Politicker has a good article and one that shows just how bad the influence of Sheldon Silver is on newly elected “Reformers” that are Democrats.. Sheldon Silver has to go..

Times Seeks Manhattan Reformer
One of the few competitive primaries in Manhattan was shaken up yesterday when the Times endorsed Assembly candidate Brian Kavanagh over incumbent Sylvia Friedman, who won the seat in a special election earlier this year. In that short time, in the eyes of the Times, Friedman lost her credentials as a reformer and began “sliding too easily under the party leaders’ sway.”
After last week’s candidate forum, I asked Kavanagh how he would differ from one of those party leaders, Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver. His answer came down to one word: Reform. (Here’s an audio clip of his response.)
Also worth noting: Most of the elected officials in the area have already endorsed Friedman. I wonder whose endorsements count for more?
Sheldon Silver is the problem, every Democrat assemblyman that comes home and says they will work to reform Albany can only do so if the swear not to re-elect Silver as assembly speaker. They blame Albany but guess what, they are Albany. Sam Hoyt, Peoples, Schimminger, Tokasz all re-elected Silver as speaker. They are all puppets, do not be fooled by their empty promises, hold them to a NO vote to Silver. That means all of them state wide. The biggest problem we have is Silver and the the veto proof majority in the assembly, that has to be changed.
