You want to reform state government, start with the govener's office. Republicans have had control of the administrative branch and the state senate for 12 years. Sheldon Silver has done many things you may disagree with, but what about his REPUBLICAN counterpart Joseph Bruno and the number one elected official in New York, George Pataki (a Republican and Conserative party endorsee just like YOU!) Its easy to set up a straw man (the evil democrats) accuse them of things that are not their fault, then claim all the problems in the state are their doing, conveniently ignoring the real problems. This state should be run as two states, NYC and everything else. The state leg and senate, dominated by downstate interests pass laws good for them and bad for the rest of the state. Its not sam hoyt or byron browns fault or anybody else in the upstate delegation's fault. NYC has a greater population and thus greater representation in the legislative braches. THATS the problem, and untill you can figure a way to get more people to move out of NYC and into buffalo, all you can offer is platitudes. If they were to truly represent the people of their districts they would stand up against Silver and vote him out. Sheldon Silver is the most powerful politician in this state, he has it his way or the highway, I didn't elect him, yet he controls every piece of legislation in the assembly and most of it benefits NYCity and hurts Upstate and WNY. I am bitter and distrusting of government because everyone of them will lie thru their teeth to get re-elected. They have gerrymandered the districts so they are assured re-election, they are not accountable to the public in which they are supposed to represent. Their loyalty is to the party, the special interests like the unions and the trial attorneys in NYCity. This candidacy is not a chance to sling mud, I state facts and if you can't see it, or face the fact that this state is the most dysfunctional, most corrupt in the nation, then you are part of the problem. I can clearly see Adam where your allegiances are, and they are against the very people that have a the guts and the wherewithal to go after the corrupt political machines that run this state.
