WBEN 930 : Alleged Illegals Arrested At Fair
Hamburg, NY (WBEN) - More than 3-dozen immigrants were arrested at the Erie County fairgrounds in Hamburg, accused of being here illegally.
23-men and 18-women from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and Peru who were hired to clean at the fair, where arrested after U.S. Immigration officials got a tip. The 41-detainees were working for a cleaning company acting as a sub-contractor.
Criminal charges were not immediately filed against the unnamed cleaning company.
Open up the flood gates and let them all in.. Why not they are doing jobs Americans won’t do, right?

I think we should at least grant amnesty to the ‘illegal’ immigrants that are here, let them pay taxes, buy homes, and fully integrate into the community. The population drain in Buffalo can be turned around if we embrace immigrant communities rather than investigate and arrest them. Plus many of these so called ‘illegal’ immigrants have US citizen children. Do we really want to kick out our citizen’s parents? Rus, if elected, you would represent one of the largest immigrant populations in the region, how would you deal with the situation?

Considering undocumented immigrants in this country cannot register to vote, i dont know how you can make that claim.
Immigrants who apply for and are granted US citizenship on the other hand can register and vote.
You should consider that our country is made up of immigrants who migrated to this country under the same circumstances as the ‘illegal’ immigrants do today…without documents and in order to make a better life for themselves.
Did the Irish, German, Polish and Italian immigrants who migrated to this country in the late 19th and early 20th century have documents, NO. why the double standard? The same things that people like yourself say about today’s immigrants was said 100 years ago about the Italians, Germans and Polish. “they are taking all the jobs” “they dont speak english” “there all criminals” etc etc etc. They turned out ok, it just took some time, why cant you afford todays immigrants the same courtesy?
Todays Law is the Law, plain and simple.
Ask your assemblyman in NYCity if their districts are based on eligible voters or voter age. Assembly districts in NYCity are figured on a population that is all inclusive, illegals included.
Wonder why HAVA has not been followed in this state, it is the last state to do it, and they won’t until the Democrats in the city have their way.
The illegals broke the law to get here, end of subject.
Eliot Spitzer will not even enforce the law against illegals.
District apportionment is a different issue.
