News - Employee Payouts
The head of the local CSEA Employee Union retired last week and is about to get a check for $45,000.

It’s for vacation and holiday time Mike Bogulski never used.

It’s a practice that Erie County Executive Joel Giambra says he stopped when he came into office, but union workers are still governed by union contracts. The only way to change that, is by changing the contract or changing the law.

Giambra points out that under the Gorski Administration, even non-union appointees got vacation payouts. Channel 2’s Scott Brown among them when he worked for Gorski five years before coming to Channel 2.

In the film clip it says that Bogulski was a Prison guard, no, he was the head of the union and was paid with taxpayer money for representing the union. It was a no show job for over 60 grand a year.

The only thing that will stop these abuses is changing the Taylor Law. What we need to do is to force Albany to make changes in it, problem is they have no desire to do so. They all are in bed with the unions and their warchests are full of union cash.
