WBEN 930 : County Control Board Flexing Muscle
Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Erie County’s four-year plan, the outline which determines if the county’s fiscal oversight panel gains strength or remains weak, is the subject of disagreement between the Giambra administration and board members.

The County Executive says things are looking up, but as WBEN’s Barbara Burns reports in the audio link above, board members say that is not the case, and they are growing increasingly frustrated.

I have said from the beginning that we needed a hard control board with teeth to be able to do the things our inept legislature can’t do, or chose not to do. The current legislature is run and controlled by the unions and not the people. Maria Whyte openly admitted it and Tim Kennedy continues to promote legislation that benefits the unions and basically tells the people to shove reform.
