Today, we released our 14th policy study, “Bass Pro and Buffalo: How Not to do Economic Development”.

Saturday at the Taste of Freedom, we will release our 15th–”Who Runs Buffalo”. That report will detail the preliminary results of our study on who donates the most to politicians in this area. The leader is currently at $200,000 over fours years.

We promised such a study last year and we are delivering. Free Buffalo/Niagara/New York promised to produce specific proposals for real change.

We delivered.

. We proposed cutting $12 million from the Amherst Town budget.

. We proposed cutting $125 million from the Erie County budget.

. We proposed cutting $38 billion from the New York State budget.

. We proposed eliminating over 115 government agencies in New York State.

. We proposed eliminating 17 elected officials in Erie County alone!

. We uncovered a $35 million discrepancy in the Bass Pro deal.

To continue and expand this work, we need your support this Saturday. As always, it’s make or break. If this fails, we won’t have the money to continue. If it succeeds, we will have sufficient funds to operate till January and attack the huge issues of health care and education.

We are on rain or shine. Everything is under cover this year. Please see our updated web page for the latest details.
