Bruno Says Spencer’s The ManHEMPSTEAD – Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno endorsed U.S. Senate candidate John Spencer today. From the podium of the Republican State Convention at Hofstra University, Bruno said:
“John Spencer is our candidate. I expect that John Spencer is going to win. John Spencer will be successful in the U.S. Senate.â€
Bruno’s remarks reflect a critical endorsement just prior to when Republican delegates will chose their candidate to run against Senator Hillary Clinton.
Spencer responded, “I think the Senate Leader for his kind words. I’m ready to take on Senator Clinton, and I’ll do our party proud.â€
Mayor John Spencer, 59, served as Mayor of the City of Yonkers from 1996 until 2004. Yonkers is the fourth largest city in New York and saw great prosperity, redevelopment and environmental cleanup under the leadership of Mayor Spencer.
