Hillary Clinton: Right Wingers to Blame for Abortion
2008 White House hopeful Hillary Clinton is blaming right wing “ideologues” for denying women access to contraceptives - leaving them no choice but to end their unwanted pregnancies with abortion.
The move to withhold contraceptives “was started by a small group of extreme ideologues who claim the right to impose their personal beliefs on the overwhelming majority of the American people,” Mrs. Clinton declared in an email to supporters on Wednesday.
“They’re waging this silent war on contraception by using the power of the White House and their right-wing allies in Congress,” she complains, adding, “and so far, they’re getting away with it.”
So just how are these right wing ideologues driving up the abortion rate? Mrs. Clinton explains:
“Low-income women, denied access to contraception, are having more unwanted pregnancies — four times as many as those for higher income women. And almost half of all unwanted pregnancies end in abortions.” The former first lady didn’t explain, however, why - in places like New York City, where high school nurses’ offices distribute candy-flavored condoms - the abortion rate continues to soar.
In January, for instance, the New York Daily News reported:
“For every 100 babies born in New York City, women had 74 abortions in 2004, according to newly released figures that reaffirm the city as the abortion capital of the country . . . . That means 40 out of 100 pregnancies in the city ended in a planned abortion - almost double the national average of 24 of 100 pregnancies in 2002.”
So let me get this straight, Right wingers we are to blame? I am having a tough time getting that straight in my mind. If i’m not mistaken birth control is not illegal and is readily available at every corner store in a wide variety of colors and textures, they are called condoms. They even give them away at many schools. Birth control pills are readily available by your doctor and with a prescription, for low income people that have gotten off their lazy butts and signed up for many of the medicaid programs, doctors visits are free and so are the prescriptions. I think it’s called “Personal responsibility”.
Now, if she is referring to Catholics and Christians as the Right wingers, we happen to raise our children Not to have sex until they are married. I am sorry that she has a hard time with that.
Or is she referring to the abortion pill RU486? Hmm, she wants that handed out over the counter to anyone that asks for it. The morning after abortion pill, what a wonderful invention, kill it before it grows.
I have a very difficult time with the “free love”, “free sex” generation left over from the 60’s and 70’s. That is what she is, I was born and raised in the same generation and have actuall grown up and accepted responsibility for my action back then, apparently she hasn’t and just wants to continue the blame game.
Sen. Hillary Clinton: Abortion Is a ‘Basic Right’
“There’s a quiet war going on in America - against the most basic rights of Americans to make their own personal decisions about family planning,” Clinton wrote in a mass e-mail from her re-election campaign.
The New York senator complained that the Bush administration and congressional Republicans are whittling away at contraception options, particularly for poor women who rely on government-funded programs.
The senator cited statistics showing that low-income women are having four times as many unwanted pregnancies as higher income women and half of all unwanted pregnancies end in abortions.
Republicans accused Clinton of seeking to enlarge federal programs.
Almost everything I said above applies to this stupid statement. Government funded programs are growing at an incredible rate costing us billions a year. What does she want and who is she catering to?
Talk about small groups of extreme ideologues trying to impose their personal beliefs, what about the homosexual agenda, the anti Christian, anti Catholics, anti Americans that seem to have a loud voice and are succeeding in putting forth their agenda in our schools. We are called homophobes and Religous zealots. Then we have the groups trying to remove God from the Pledge, remove crosses from anything and everything government, they want to remove a cross that has been part of a monument in SanDiego honoring Veterans for decades. We can’t have that but we can have abortions free, legal and on demand even the day before the birth.
Guilt Hillary? Is it guilt?

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackFor the record, RU-486 and the morning after pill are DIFFERENT!!! RU-486 is an abortion pill and the morning pill is a high dose of birth control drugs (if a woman is pregnant, the morning after pill does nothing)…you’d better get your facts strait if you are to run for office, then again you are running as a republican, and facts dont matter much to you people.
I don’t care about facts, I just pull them out of the air for the hell of it.
I stick my finger in the air, figure out which way the wind is blowing and follow it, I have no core beleifs, no core values and just suck up to who ever will vote for me….
Oh, wait,,,,, that’s Hillary
