STATEMENT OF MICHAEL CAPUTO
CAMPAIGN MANAGER, PALADINO FOR THE PEOPLE
“Today’s Quinnipiac poll is in the ballpark showing Carl cut Rick
Lazio’s lead down to 47-35. Our internal research shows the GOP
gubernatorial primary is much closer today, but here’s the rub for
Rick Lazio: while he pounded the Mosque issue, he dropped. Carl
Paladino was keeping his powder dry, and he gained. Rick picked up
zero undecided voters and Carl collected them.
Today begins our media push. We’re on television and radio full-force,
hitting Republicans’ mailboxes and gearing up for a big finish at a
time when the Q-poll shows Rick’s voters are looking for another
candidate. And Rick is out of cash.
Carl Paladino is tailgating Rick Lazio; everyone knows it and the
public polls prove it. We’re pulling into the passing lane today and
we’ll have Rick in our rear view mirror by next week.
I wonder if Rick is taking another look at his calendar for a debate
date, or will he continue to insult the voters and refuse to debate
Carl Paladino?”
A 58% tax is not just unfair, it should be illegal. If the state really wanted to promote competition they would cut the stupid, illegal tax out all together. Lower the taxes so stores can be competition to the Reservations. Instead we get a special tax implemented on a certain class of citizens driving business away from stores and onto the Reservations.
He is a hypocritical liar and deserves to be thrown out of office not get elected to a bigger playground where he will do more damage. He is a union hack and that is all he represents. Read the rest of this entry »
Carl Paladino is a successful businessman, not a career politician. His top priority when he is elected Governor of New York will be to cut government spending by twenty percent in the first year of his administration. Not cap it – cut it.
There are over 1,000 New York State agencies, authorities and commissions. The Department of Health alone has 87 statutorily created administrative units including 46 counsels, 17 boards, six institutes, six committees, five facilities, two task forces, two offices, two advisory panels and a work group.
The proliferation of State government agencies results in overlap, duplication and waste. But it doesn’t have to be that way under the right leader: New York’s governor has control over two-thirds of the state work force. Our next governor must reduce the size of government, cut spending and negotiate contracts more favorable to taxpayers. READ MORE
Lazio is such a coward, two chances he has just blown off to debate Carl Paladino. There is a good video at the link so you can watch Carl. The word chicken is now getting weak, Lazio is a coward and he is refusing to debate Carl….. How is he going to handle Cuomo? How? He will simply lay down and Cuomo will run right over him like a train. Is that what we want? Is that the type of guy he is, just trying to float through without any challenges?
If he is the best this Republican party in New York state has to offer, then they are in serious trouble. Carl Paladino is the face of what the Conservative Republicans really are and I am so glad he decided to run. Now we have someone to vote for. This is everyone chance to go to the ballot box on September 14th and really vote for someone worthy and capable of running this state and to fix the screwy, corrupt system once and for all.
PALADINO: Lobbyist Lazio wears Hillary’s heel marks
(BUFFALO, NY) – Buffalo businessman Carl Paladino, a Republican candidate for Governor of New York, today bashed Rick Lazio for declining a debate on statewide television and offered his opponent additional debate venues and dates.

I want every Republican in New York to know I will meet Rick to debate the issues on any street in any town in any county of this great state.” Read the rest of this entry »

WHY IS RICK LAZIO AFRAID TO DEBATE FELLOW REPUBLICAN PARTY PRIMARY CANDIDATE FOR GOVERNOR CARL PALADINO
By Larry Penner
It appears that the New York State Republican party designated candidate for Governor – former Long Island Congress member Rick Lazio lacks self confidence when it comes to public speaking and debating skills. Lazio is following the infamous Rose Garden Strategy of trying to ignore his GOP primary challenger – Buffalo businessperson Carl Palidino by refusing to participate in any public debates. If Lazio can’t handle Paladino, how in the world will he be able to debate a seasoned veteran like Democratic candidate for Governor – Attorney General Andrew Cuomo? Read the rest of this entry »

Candidate calls for clarity on Lazio’s mosque ad funding
(BUFFALO, NY) – Buffalo businessman Carl Paladino, a Republican candidate for Governor of New York, today repeated his challenge to his opponent Rick Lazio to debate on August 30th in Syracuse. Paladino also accused Lazio of dodging the debate because he fears questions on the funders behind his new mosque television ad paid for by the New York State Conservative Party.
“This weekend I got to thinking: why is Rick so afraid to face the voters in a freewheeling debate with me? Now I understand,” Paladino said. “Rick is dodging voters who want to know if he is skirting state law by funding his campaign ads through the Conservative Party.”
